Apparently the Japanese Soul Sacrifice demo is out. Anyone try it? I would, but I don't have two memory cards.

 

You guys think I should wait and see whether the Ultimate Speed Pack will be released for Vita or should I just go ahead and get Sine Mora?

 

I believe vita version won't be out for next few months at least

 

Does sound shape worth spending $15? I debating if I should get that game or not

 

It was definitely worthy to me, great game and 2 very easy platinums, but you should check the demo first as I can see lots of people not liking it.

For those interested, AC3:L is on a weekend sale right now for $23.39. Guess I can buy it now as the save glitch patch has been released.

 

SASRT is so much fun, finally a good kart racer on the Vita(looks at Modnation in disgust).

It definitely doesn't match up with the console versions graphics, but still looks better than MK7 on 3DS(IGN) and it doesn't look like the iPad version of the first game.(looks better)

 

An update for those dying to know...

So I went to a different best buy, checked the display. Basically the screen had the same graininess as i was seeing on mine. I got a replacement anyway due to the dead pixel. This one also has a slight graininess to it. So i'm going to say that this is normal and i just have superman vision (or maybe even looking too closely at it.)

Sony did say they didnt add any sort of anti glare coating. So maybe it's the plastic they use. Who knows.

No dead pixels that i can see so far though. Yay. And unless i'm crazy this one seems to be brighter and has better viewing angles.

Also my uncharted game came... The case is so tiny and cute. Haha

 

I've never noticed any graininess on my Vita, but it might be due to you being used to the retina iPads screen, which I do think is better than the Vitas. The iPads screen still wows me every now and then when watching something on Netflix and while the Vitas screen is nice enough, it has never wowed me.

 

Vita screen is pretty good I think but you can't really see unless you encode an HD video to it's native resolution 960 x 544, unfortunately most of the games seem to upscale which isn't ideal, hopefully later they will use the proper res and Anti Aliasing more.

Colours really wowed me more than anything the first video I tried on it but (I think it was BBC Planet Earth I watched).

 

In that case I'll probably just save my money. Anyone else excited for Phantasy Star Online 2?

Yes. Still waiting for psp 2 to be playable on vita with two-stick controls.

 

Hoping Killzone Mercenary will satisfy my fps fix. Anything else I should be looking out for in 2013? Other than Soul Sacrifice?

I'd like a bunch of psp games to have full analog stick controls.

 

I think it probably also has a less than perfect screen. That's one of the issues with OLEDs- it's very hard to make them with consistent quality, and they can't be to picky with quality control, otherwise, a good portion of the screens they made would have to be tossed. Part of the reason why OLED is so expensive. I think the graniness you're experiencing might come from a defect some Vita owners have reported (and owners of other OLED devices as well)- on some screens, there are faint (sometimes very visible) verticle lines that make the image appear fairly grainy. Or, it could be the game you're playing is sub-resolution.

I already bought and downloaded the game at the discounted price, so I suppose it must be a US-only sale

I have both an iPhone and an iPad with Retina screens and still think my Vita screen is gorgeous, it's nothing like that picture you linked.

 

Pissed off with Sony, I got a vita a while back after 2 months the x button squeaks, I contacted Sony and they said unless the button does not respond, they wil do nothing.
Today my son who is 3 had my ps3 remote and purchased unlimited music by having the remote for a few minutes and the screen wasn't on, so I'm 59.99 down now. Why is password not on by default on the playstation store. They better refund me when I ring tomorrow.pissed off right now
