Yeah. It's just too jam packed full of stuff. The text goes by a little fast. Good game, but it made me feel overloaded. Seriously think they spent too much time developing it. If a game can have too much content, this is a great example.
Something I forgot to add to my first impression, is that the game doesn't play like a super old, retro game. It has the style of a retro game (and a lot of retro game (and movie) references), but it plays like a modern game. The mechanics are pretty good.
I think Teknikal mentioned about being interested in this game, here's a gameplay vid, slightly out of focus. EDIT: Really enjoying Retro City Rampage now that I'm digging into it a bit more. Great gameplay.
Looks pretty good- except for the trees. Bleh. Hate those cardboard cutout tree leaves that are used in so many racing games (seen it surprisingly a lot in current gen consoles too). It's seriously just a flat texture that intersects with itself. The only bummer about this game (aside from trees that annoy me. Argh) is that it has very few levels on the cart compared to the console version. It comes with 6 rallies, and gets a few more 'exclusive' levels as DLC later on. Another thing to keep in mind is that the series hasn't been received super well.
On today's NS tweeter posts... Here is some hope for this game! @alexbfly: @NihilisticInc @Paullloyd15 @fan_wilson so the possibility of 8v8 COULD happen maybe? @NihilisticInc: @alexbfly @Paullloyd15 @fan_wilson Higher player caps in MP is definitely possible, like anything else it just takes time & money. Sooooo I think they realized fans really do want more players than 4vs4. I would love them to increase it by like 6vs6
It definitely is possible to increase the player cap. They could have supported more players right off the bat. Multiplayer relies on servers- the more players allowed in a match, the more expensive it is to maintain the server. If this game is successful, we may get an increased player cap. If not, we probably won't.
Given the rather poor previews the game has received so far, I'm going to assume that'll it'll probably be the latter.
Recent previews have been fairly positive. IGN is one of the only sites that gave a mixed opinion on it. It's still Call of Duty. Little kids will make this game and the Vita sell good (JK, but seriously, I've seen so many little kids buy CoD games- with their parents around of course). I'm trying to keep my expectations low, so if it sucks I won't be bummed.
Anyone here playing Retro City Rampage? EDIT: Apparently there are RCR players. So anyone know what the fourth power-up is and how to get it? I only have the Speed Kills Shoes, Hover Suit, Biffman suit, and the Bionic suit.

Love my Vita. Getting an iPod Touch 5 soon, but still intend to do most of my handheld gaming on Vita. Just hope it gets better software support over the next year or so.

I'm going off need for speed the more videos I see of it, driving games just aren't any fun if there is either none or barely any traffic if they don't change that before launch I'm skipping it.
