The only way I'm buying Black Ops Declassified is if it has trophies that are about as easy as Resistance's and costs less than $20. You might as well spend your money on worthwhile games such as Need for Speed and Assassin's Creed so that the competent developers continue to make AAA games on the Vita.
Agree with you in the fact I'm avoiding all games by nihilistic I'm not saying Resistance was terrible but it fell far short of what it should have been and I still can't get over how terrible the video sequences were encoded I've seen better FMV on an old Amiga. In my honest opinion Resistance reeked of lazyness it was way to short had way to many bugs and was pretty much put to shame graphicly by even mobile phone games.
I've always thought those low-res videos were done on purpose to keep the vintage feel. But yeah, it's still a very mediocre game.
I guess I just don't see what's very vintage about digital block artifacts if it looked like old film I could buy that reasoning but it just looks like really badly encoded modern video to me.
That's the theme of the resistance series. It's set to be in realistic warfare, with futuristic weapons and tech. I think game did well with the story. MP was disappointment but yeah
If you're patient I should be picking up a card thursday. Don't know if you want to wait that long but that's probably the soonest I can give impressions.
With all the delays, I've sort of lost interest in it. I'm probably going to end up waiting for the PC version to pop up in one of the indie bundles.
I bought Retro City Rampage. Haven't played it too much, but it's pretty fun. The amount of game/pop culture parodies and references are over whelming. My biggest issue with it is that there is just so much going on all at once- screen can get kind of crowded. Really good game from what I've played- I think it's worth it, especially if you enjoy open-world games where you can just screw around. Seems like it's fairly crammed with content.
I rented a psvita and was impressed with what games are available but still grand theft auto needs to make an appearance
Gameloft have already tried to sell mobile phone games like Asphalt full price I suspect if they did MC3 for Vita they wouldn't put it on Playstation Mobile even though that's where it deserves to be. It would be nice to have the option of cheap games there in principle though like the mini's but with touchscreen support.
That was Ubisoft that brought those over. Gameloft did support minis with a few games, so it's possible they'll support PSM. It is a lot cheaper and more flexible than minis were.
Game loft was the big supporter of PS Mobile for Xperia Play. I was hoping the games would make it into the launch.
I agree, there is just too much going on all at once that so much get's lost. Even the dialogue sped by a little to quickly at times where I would be thinking of what the pun or reference was from and had to jump to the next one. The game seems okay so far, I'm just a little overwhelmed with what I need to do or what I can do. With GTA, as an example, even though you could do anything you wanted, it was slower paced where you could focus on a certain thing at a time. With RCR, I feel like I'm just all over the place fighting off cops all the time. Don't get me wrong, it's decent and I want to dig in more. The references are really great, especially if you are a child from the the NES, C64 era. I also really like the filters that can be applied. I tried the GameBoy setting and it was pretty cool.
