  1. Has anyone seen the latest AC3L "screenshots"? They're very impressive... perhaps a bit too impressive even.

First picture basically proves that Conner will show up in this game... Interesting. I might get AC:3 as well then

    Why so curious?
    Fifa 13

Has anyone played the new FIFA (13) yet? Any impressions as to if it's different from the earlier (12) version?

From what little information I can find online, it appears that apart from updating the rosters and making minor changes here and there, EA didn't make any major changes. In other words, this "new" game is still based on FIFA 11 engine and missing console features like player impact engine, attacking intelligence, complete dribbling and so on.

I was really looking forward to buying this game, but if there're no major improvements (not interested in roster update) then I will stick with the earlier version.

I bought the original with my Vita. I was disappointed by the lack of tactical defending and other FIFA 12 features, but still wow'd by how impressive it all ran on a handheld. I found online play to be too laggy, even when playing a mate 3 miles up the road, and my favourite camera angle made everything just that bit too small (though I can't blame EA for that).

In Fifa 13 Vita, I'd want better fps and improved online play/netcode.... also, the online league system from Fifa 12, that'd have kept me going back.

    EA

I think this review from an Amazon user sums up the latest FIFA game for Vita. It's basically the same game. On the bright side, this will save us $40. :D

    ***********************
This game is the same as the game that launched with the Vita. As others have said the only new things in this game is updated rosters and updated kits.
It plays good with that being said but...

Attacking Intelligence - NOT IN THE GAME
FIFA 13 Complete Dribbling - NOT IN THE GAME
FIFA 13 1st Touch Control - NOT IN THE GAME
Player Impact Engine - NOT IN THE GAME
New Passes - Two new passing options give players the ability to dink passes over the outstretched leg of a defender or loft through balls to teammates. -NOPE
Complete Authenticity - Over 500 officially licensed clubs and more than 15,000 players.- TRUE
FIFA 13 Fundamentals - NOT IN THE GAME
Tactical Free Kicks - SAME AS ALWAY.. NOT UPDATED

Still the best portable football you can get with that said. If you didnt get the launch FIFA this is a solid pick up. Sad that EA just shoved this one out with little to no updates.
You still get online leagues and online play. No Ultimate Team and no Creation features.

Got LittleBigPlanet Vita tonight, and it's a blast. Feels a lot more natural on a handheld platform than a console. The graphics are also some of the Vita's best- runs full resolution with a high level of detail and good post processing- AA (and depth of field?) from what I can tell. Looks just like the PS3 versions.

I'd only consider buying Fifa again if they put the ability of occasionally playing for your country back into the be a pro mode.

I was actually stunned it wasn't there when every PSP version of Fifa had it.

Was a little surprised to log on PSN today and find a demo of Silent Hill Book of Memories waiting to be downloaded. Forgot all about this game. Intrigued...

    Don't stalk me.
What is your favorite DLC costume you own for LittleBigPlanet Vita? I just got the $5 week one tshirt (yah, i know, its only a shirt for 5 bucks) but anyways, I was looking at buying one more DLC costume or costume pack. Any suggestions?

I didn't download any of the packs. I do have the Venom and Wolverine costumes though, those were nice.

And yeah I'm not paying five bucks for a digital shirt lol.

  13. Tell me how that is. I'm interested in the game, but the demo isn't available in the American PS Store yet.

Honestly? A little underwhelmed! The graphics are decent I guess, they're no Uncharted GA but they do a decent enough job of fitting in with the whole 'other world' design.

You start off by creating a character but the options seem quite limited and even most of those are locked in the demo.

I don't know, it just seems really shallow from what I've played of the demo. Run into room, kill a few monsters, find key, exit room... rinse and repeat and the level culminates in a puzzle. It just doesn't 'feel' at all like a Silent Hill game. There's at least two levels in the demo but honestly, I turned it off at the beginning of the second. Really think ill give the game a miss after playing the demo.

  15. Shame about Silent Hill, but we got quite a few new (US) Vita announcements today.

    • Picotto Knights has been announced for US release. It looks like a multiplayer-only Castle Crashers and is free-to-play in Japan (video).
    • Earth Defense Force 2017 Portable has also been announced for US release. I've seen mixed opinions about the series, but it looks alright.
    • The previously PS3-exclusive SRPG Rainbow Moon is in development for Vita.

Yay. This is something I'd actively campaigned for to come to the PSV. Source?
