I haven't tried it yet, but it looks like there is: if you download the Content Manager Assistant to your PC, you can move data from there to your Vita. I don't know if that includes saves, though.
I just popped in F1 2011 and three words come to mind. Breathtaking, giddy, and wow. It has the same structure of the 3DS version, so its essentially a port of that, except the graphics are amazing and the frame rate is stellar. The cockpit view works so much better. But the most impressive part is the controls. Even with a game utilizing only the left analog stick, the controls felt tight and much more console-like. The controls feel a little loose and slightly out of control at times with the 3DS version. Your mastery over your line feels precarious in comparision. I smoked the first career race on the Vita by 12 seconds. I couldn't win races on the 3DS. I kept getting penalized for cutting the track, but I wasn't trying to. The controls were floaty and impercise. My first impression of the Vita is to drool. Whelp, I can certainly kiss my 3DS copy of F1 2011 goodbye. Too bad, because the trade-in value is only around $10. I haven't fired up dual analog yet. Maybe the final product won't feel quite as finnicky as the demo stations.
As far as im concern... the only current way is to transfer saves from psp to ps3, and re transfer them back to vita. Hopefully sony IS working on their content manager assistant program on pc/mac and make them a bit more useful then they are now. [EDIT] Ops didnt realize i wasnt at the last page while doing this reply
I thought this was worth posting.. http://pushstartselect.com/2012/quick-write-negative-vita-article/
Destructoid has their review up for escape plan: http://www.destructoid.com/review-escape-plan-221958.phtml Oh dear, I was looking forward to it too Maybe I'll wait and read some more reviews before making a final decision.
I finally got to try one of these out at Gamestop last night, albeit only for a short time. I did find that the Little Deviants game just seems to be a tech demo. I got bored of it pretty quickly. Unfortunately I didn't have time to try much else other then just play around with the UI. The device itself seems nice, though I wasn't really blown away either. So not entirely sold on it yet. I will try some of the other demos next time I'm at Gamestop, though.
Heres another review and it scores much better on 1up. I don't read his stuff (on destructoid) that much but some people have strong feels against Jim Sterling and that he likes to "troll" in his reviews. Not my opinion as I dont read his stuff but from what I've gathered. http://www.1up.com/reviews/escape-plan-vita
I want to know this also. Motorstorm is my all time favorite racing franchise. Even though this one is nothing like the other releases, I still want to get it, hopefully next week...
Hit my first bummer... I've downloaded peace walker onto my ps3, and when i was ready to transfer it to my vita... It didn't show up on my vita's cma, early this week i transferred god of war: ghost of sparta and that showed up just fine... any thought? I'm leaving my home in a day or so and i won't be bringing my ps3 with me. What a bummer... is there a way that i can copy psp game off my ps3 to my pc? Fail to see why everyone is able to transfer peace walker to their vita and i can't. Dam. [EDIT] Well after looking a bit closer, it is my mistake. On my malaysia ps store it says the game does not compatible with vita in bright yellow. Some how i miss that, i guess i just assume every content shows up on ps store is the same across the globe. Wasted 49 usd for nothing = =
Picked up the 1st edition bundle, and first impression was, I didn't realize that it was going to be that big. I do like the screen real estate, and the device does feel solid, but was expecting it to be a bit smaller. The games look amazing, I've downloaded Marvel vs Capcom 3, Unchartered, Wipeout, and Rayman, and have played Rayman the most since getting my hands on the system. The graphics are amazing, and console quality, and loving the launch titles. Funny how Rayman was the launch title for the PS1, and it's another launch title again... no complaints here! My only gripes are: The memory format is not universal, they should have allowed use of the Memory pro stick duos, or had another memory slot for that, or made the memory format SD memory. It's ridiculous that we have to spend $99 for a 32gb memory card which is a must have if you're planning on going all digital for games. Another gripe is PS1 games are not compatible, yet. I'm sure they're planning a firmware update in the future, but I'm sure its as a purposeful move since they want people buying new games, and not playing old ones. All in all, happy with the purchase, just really bummed about the memory sticks.
I'm so jeleous! 5 more days for me hows marvel vs capcom? Im planning on picking it up along with uncharted and super star dust delta
I don't know about North American release dates, but I'm 99% sure I read somewhere that the Vita, like the PS3, is region-free -- if it comes down to it, you could just import Motorstorm. I wouldn't be surprised if MGS Peace Walker never gets compatibility with the Vita...they just announced a week or two ago that they'll be releasing a Vita version of the MGS HD bundle that came out a few months for the PS3/360...
MGS Peace Walker should be compatible with the Vita. Also, Peace Walker might not be in the Vita version of MGS HD Collection.
