I just found out there's an unofficial LBP.me app for the iPhone. It should be handy once LBP Vita is released. App info is currently processing and/or the app is not yet fully available for sale on the US App Store.
So disappointed in the PSV, that shine wore of quick... Wheres the original content that really pushes the hardware? I'm tired of ports, and after reading the same team that bungled Resistance is also handling Black Ops I'm losing faith quickly. Seriously, I played my Vita for 45 minutes last night, the longest session I've had on it since last playing PSP's GOW on it... You know what I played? NES Double Dragon... Sad.
You and me both, i have no idea why i haven't chucked it on ebay yet. LBP will be good, but i doesn't really interest me enough to buy. In the face of the Appstore, £30-£40 a game on Vita is madness. I'll reserve final judgement until we see COD.
FYI, if you are in the US, Game Stops (not sure about anywhere else) are selling LBP as of today! Seems the Street Date was removed and it's free to be sold. Going to get my copy now!
I had the same reaction when I heard that news truth be told, I am happy with some of the games I own for it though I went out of my way to get ones I could play for a long time like everybody's golf and Disgaea 3. So for me I'm happy to keep waiting and hope Sony get their act together but I am pretty astonished at some of the stupid stuff they have done so far.
@BrEaKBEaT @Teknikal We're essentially in the same waters as we were with the PSP, another handheld with the potential to be more than it became. I really didn't think it would have gotten to this, but it clearly has. From Wololo's recent blog entry on a gamasutra article about "what's killing the vita" via Sonys Marketing Vice President John Koller: And... the PSVita's current software lineup: Need For Speed: Most Wanted, Street Fighter X Tekken, Mortal Kombat, Jet Set Radio, Little Big Planet, Madden 13, Lego Batman 2, Metal Gear Solid HD Collection, Lego Harry Potter, MLB 12 The Show, FIFA, Ninja Gaiden Sigma, Ultimate Marvel Vs. Capcom 3 plus the Cross Buy games and more. Seriously, the best games on Vita right now are ones we've already played... This is PSP all over again... Please Sony, give us something good... Super Crate Box is a start... but it's still not pushing the power of the Vita to the limits that define what the system is and how it's different from my 3DSXL which I play religiously every day...
That's not Wololo talking by the way, just to clarify. The PS Vita definitely needs more games but I still use it more than my 3DS or any iOS device that I have.
Dumping money into new premium IPs is no way to make a portable game system succeed. It's not supposed to replace home consoles, rather it's supposed to supplement them. I personally feel they've done a great job of bringing a mix of ports of console disc and psn games, original IP, and worthwhile apps to the Vita.
Um, what? I'm probably in the minority here, but I actually like that the Vita is getting a lot of console games. I own a PS3, but I'm too busy during the majority of the day to dedicate much time to it. Of course, the exclusives such as Tearaway are pretty sweet too. Edit: Sony got rid of the street release date for LBP Vita, which means you can buy the retail version now.
Damn Sony for not removing Monster Hunter Freedom Unite. I'm thinking about spending 20 bucks just to have emulators on my vita again....
In case you guys didn't know, in the US all Gamestops have removed the street date for Little Big Planet PS Vita. Got it today and am loving it a ton so far. Feels just like a full LBP but with more awesome stuff.
Looks like it's out in Canada as well (at Futureshop). Not sure if I wanna get it now.. or wait to get it digitally.
Been keeping up with this thread since the start as I've been very interested in the Vita but been holding off the purchase. I understand it takes awhile to build up on games but it's been awhile and starting to feel the frustration. (and w/o a purchase as yet) I'm still very anxious and still have high hopes but thoughts are to abandon the idea till even later until the buy is really worth it.
For what it's worth, the next 2 months are very promising. Ragnarok Odyssey, Assassin's Creed III Liberation, NFS Most Wanted, Persona 4 Golden, PS All-Star Battle Royale and Sonic & All Stars Racing Transformed all look interesting to me. Beyond that is anyone's guess though...
With regards to COD, which i really want to be great, i've realised my main problem is perhaps my own ignorance on how we'd get these games.... As in, i assumed Infinity Ward would be bring us a first party experience. I found this on Nihilistics website.... Nihilistic is an independent game developer located in Marin County, California. Founded in 1998, we focus on one solid title at a time. We believe in hiring the best creative, dedicated, talented people and letting them do their jobs. Now, that's a lie, unless we're really to believe the development of Resistance didn't overlap.
It's all your choice, don't like the upcoming gameline? Don't buy it and stop worrying about it. I got mine at launch and past like 3 months didn't really play my vita caz I was bored of the game but lbp should keep me playing until AC and other games
IW doesn't know what the #### they are doing They just ruined the whole cod series with one game, Thanks to that now people have way less interests into cod
