lol, I have too many PSP games. Some which I don't know if I'll ever get to. Maybe I'll make some room for FFVII.

Well I played it a long time ago(12 or 13 years ago?), I'm mostly wondering if it'll hold up to today's games and it's not just nostalgia.

I'm going to delete the Madden demo to make room.

That's exactly what I did, that madden demo was pretty large. I decided I'll bit the bullet. I'm in it more for the story and not so much the graphics.

I think you'll like the story then.

I ended up buying Castlevania:SOTN, FFVII, and Chrono Trigger.

    Okayyy, I'm done for today.

FF VII holds up fairly well in terms of gameplay mechanics- but that's more or less because RPGs have had the same/similar mechanics for the past 15 or so years.

The only thing that doesn't really hold up is some aspects of the translation. There are some mistakes that have been fixed in newer FF VII games (Crisis Core, Dirge of Cerberus). An example is the name Aeris- it's been updated to Aerith since then in newer parts of the FF VII compilation.

Also, the graphics aren't really bad. They're up to DS and early iOS standards.

Loved that game personally but I know a few people who never really got into the game as it doesn't really open up until after the first CD. I think it's the only game I ever maxed out the characters and still didn't want to complete.

Gave me about a years playtime mainly due to me levelling everything and collecting absolutely everything.

I've never played 8 I might get that one myself.

Something cool that I just found out about the new firmware update is some cool new features for the PSP emulator:

So it sounds like you can make some PSP games feel like smartphone games. Haven't messed with it yet, so I don't know how good it is... Crap, that reminds me. I need a bigger memory card... They really need to license it to 3rd parties already- bring the price down.

Lol, that game has some memories of many late nights/mornings at work making the strategy guide. Since you could play through as 2 characters, I decided to make the strategy guide double sided, in that you flip it over for the other character. It worked and sold well, but man do I regret that decision in hindsight and all the hours put in to it.

    Gamefan Books (RIP)

Looking forward top playing it again on Vita :)

Looks like they added a ton of more PSOne Classics to the Vita PSN Store.

Yup! I'm currently debating Tomba vs Klonoa, I never played either. Any opinions?

I picked up Resistance Retribution today and it's glorious with the ability to map to the right analog stick. It actually feels better than the Vita version of resistance.

Dragon Fantasy Book II is coming to the PS Vita and PS3 as a cross-buy title. It will include a multiplayer mode- dunno if it's specific to the console versions only or not. They also said that they are trying to get the first game out on the PS Vita and PS3 as well.

It seems like most of the Vita's support is coming from indie developers.

Retribution is one of the best games to ever come out on PSP.

Me too think that the memory prices have been out in the market yet..... But one thing for sure about the PS that every thing they launch in the market is loved by every one and they do really offer the tactics in the games that are really close to the human behavior and nature and that's the thing which i love the most about PS...
