  1. At its current price of $40, I'm more than willing to wait for the inevitable price drop.

Anticipation's building up pretty fast now... one more week till the Vita launches over here!

Games i'm definitely getting include MvC3, Uncharted and Let's Golf.
Strongly considering FIFA and Virtua Tennis (long-time fan).

I do wish NBA 2K12 was hitting the Vita at launch though!

Just a Heads Up - Going through the Vita forums, I saw someone say that MJ: The Experience is FREE if you download the demo. Sounds like Ubi messed something up when uploading files to the server. Anyone who has the FEB or a PS3 should jump on it before its pulled.

    Edit:
Just to confirm, I just finished downloading on the PS3 and it is in fact the full game, at least according to the icon. Maybe not the best launch game but hey, it's free so get it while it lasts..

Btw, to find it on the PS3 just use the search function in the PS Store.

Just looked and all I can find with the search function on my PS3 is the full price PSP game, either it's been pulled or I'm doing something wrong.

Yeah I did kinda figure that, oh well, I'm not too fussed about a Michael Jackson game anyway, can't seem to find any psvita demos on the UK store so my guess is they will start arriving by the weekend, they better anyway cause I'll be wanting to download a few titles before next Wednesday so theyre good to go!

If you ask me, the best games for that are UMvC3 and FIFA12, considering they're more or less direct ports. They're not simple games even on console, so to see them running on Vita was a pleasant surprise for me.

But of course they both suffer from the fact they're not unique to the Vita, which is why I wouldn't buy either one of them...

Well, yeah, I can almost guarantee both Virtual Tennis 4 and F1 2011 fitting into that class. Especially after playing the Virtual Tennis demo and comparing it to the PC version. Virtual Tennis is the only launch game using the Vita's native resolution, from what I heard. But both are console ports. Well, F1 is a port of the 3DS version, using console assets. It's appears that way anyway.

Those are likely the games I might buy, besides Wipeout and Uncharted, which I already purchased. But I haven't seen any reviews. I'm waiting on IGN. Really no info on GameFAQs coming from those games either.

Haha yeah totally, digital games to get are definitely Escape Plan and possibly either Super stardust or Motorstorm (is it just like Reckless Racing? If so I'll pass)

Yeah, Motorstorm RC plays just like Reckless Racing. I played the demo and lost interest 'very' quickly. The visuals were pretty weak too.

I think Motorstorm RC looks good actually way better graphics than reckless racing but I do wonder why they chose to do that with the franchise when the PSP had an excellent proper Motorstorm game with Arctic Edge.

One other game that gave me the exact same thought was the Vita Silent Hill game why would they do that to the series especially when the PSP again had a few proper Silent Hill games.

If you were to judge the Vita on those two games you would have to conclude developers weren't taking it seriously.

Wow all the Ubisoft ones appear to be free! I went to Asphalt: injection and it says

    Full game: 765 MB
    Demo: 765 MB

this is great. Wasn't planning on purchasing a large memory card but now I am!

Super stardust looks amazing! (not quite as good as it does on my PS3 on my 3D tv but great all the same ;) i'll definitely be picking that up, Escape plan looks really cool too so I think that's gonna be a download too.

I've read that although they look the same size that they are in fact demo versions as someone else on the PS Vita forum downloaded Rayman demo and it says it's the trial version so don't get too excited.

Yeah, it's the same way XBLA and PSN games work. The trial versions contain all of the full game content, it just needs to be unlocked via purchase.

Technically you can play the PSP version on the Vita, so it sort of is...

Picked up my first edition bundle today, along with Uncharted and Rayman. Can't wait to start playing!

Too bad PSN cards aren't available in stores where I stay. That combined with the fact that I don't use credit cards (debit only) don't make a good combination.

Did they ever find a way to transfer game saves from old games from the PSP?

  20. Target is having a "buy 2 get 1 free" deal on Vita games next week. Looks like I'll be picking up Rayman Origins and Lumines after all.
