except for the last two those are old. And the last two look more like concept art than screenshots... ([hint]completely wrong resolution[/hint])
I have two questions: 1. Has anyone seen footage of the controls of Foosball 2012? It looks fantastic, but the controls will make or break the game. 2. Has anyone played Puddles on the PS3? How is it? I saw it is getting a PS Vita release tomorrow and just wanted to know of any impressions on the PS3 version.
Oh, guess I will have to see how the demo is then. Is Foosball 2012 getting a Vita demo? I saw on playstation lifestyle about a ps3 demo but didn't see anything about a vita one :/
Your sig made me laugh so hard. Haha. And I saw a written preview of Assassin's Creed along with some awesome screens, I'll post the link in one minute for those interested.
I typically dislike sports games, but Virtua Tennis 4 is simple and addicting enough that even I found it difficult to stop playing. The graphics are at native res, and framerate never seems to dip below 60. I think the US PSN sale might be ending later today, so it's not too late to pick it up.
I play A LOT of Foosball in the real world and have been really interested to see how this game turns out. I'm hoping there's lots of customisation options for controls but expecting the basics to involve - left stick GK/DEF - right stick MID/ATT If i'm able to even just do basic pull shots i'll be more than pleased with this release. You'd have to imagine 1/2 move controllers could work fantastically well as a control method, though i'll be making do with the Vita.
So here's that Assassin's Creed Liberation Preview I mentioned. Whats most important from the article is that ACL is running the same engine as AC3 (albeit toned down to perform well on Vita) which equates to full a open-world environment, lush visuals on Vita's OLED (as seen from screenshots), and non-gimped character animation. They also mention combat features new to the series will be included. The one and only thing that throws me off is the inclusion of 'Vita specific features and gameplay' (I felt that Ninja Gaiden's implementation was aweful). I imagine this means touch and tilt gameplay.. My only hope is these types of missions are spread out enough to not become a chore/bore.
In RPG related news, a new Ys game is announced for Vita (don't get too excited! So far there's only mention of a JP release, as far as I know). Edit: Sorry for double post.
I dabbled in the tutorial, and the default controls are the left stick being the move and the right stick being how to shoot. Definitely feels weird, hoping to either get use to it or find a custom option where I can play how you described. Also the amount of Add-ons also scares me from dipping into the full game :/
Ah maybe I'm late to the party.. PSN is updated with a bunch of stuff for PSV. Vice City Stories is available through Vita's store for those who haven't been able to transfer through PS3. Velocity is also available for PSV owners! I think it's still free for Plus users. I must say, it feels good after the awful drought. Haven't played Puddle on PS3 so I'm thinking I'll pick it up depending on how I feel about the demo.
Who cares about Vice City? Resistance Retribution is now available. One of the best games to show up on PSP. I've been waiting for this game to show up since launch. It's one of very few games that made me regret trading in my PSP Go.
I'm still waiting on PSOne games, Metal Gear solid peace Walker and Phantasy Star portable 2 to be available for Vita. What I want most is a great FPS for it. Resistance was bland, Call of Duty seems suspect (an unknown developer is making it? Yikes) and Bioshock Vita went from planned to shelved (read: if Vita sells more we'll think about it). I have hopes for 3 games: Oddworld: Stranger's Wrath port, Killzone and that the Borderlands devs weren't just blowing smoke when they said they want a BL2 port for Vita if Sony backs it. Gearbox went as far as to say they would love to play their characters on the road then stick them back on their consoles.
Wait, left stick moves all 4 rods? Does it work like zones, so if the ball is by your att then then you auto control that rod. Or left stick controls all rods at the same time? Right stick controlling how you should sounds weird indeed... I'll have to check this out when it hits the uk today at some point.
The left stick moves every player at once, then you pass/shoot with the right stick. I'm getting more and more use to the controls, however I'm still not sold on buying the full game. EDIT: What is World Tour mode on Foosball? Has anyone bought the full game, that would recommend it?
Some Vita news: -Escape Plan is receiving its third DLC this week called: The Underground. It takes place in a rail station, and adds several new interactive objects. It comes out this week, and will be on sale for $1.99 the first two weeks it is out. The price will rise to $4.99 after the sale. -Images from a Chinese message board have surfaced that are supposedly leaked images of a Monster Hunter game for the Vita. There is a Fraps logo quite visible in one of the images, so it is possible that they are screenshots of another game. It's hard to tell, because nothing directly lines up with any PC Monster Hunter or Monster Hunter-like games. The images: -Knytt Underground has been announced for Vita and PS3, and will release later this year. It is next in the Knytt series of games (you can download the first two installments as freeware on PC, much like Cave Story), which are atmospheric indie platformers. Some screenshots: -World Rally Championship 3 has been announced for Vita, and will be releasing alongside the console versions this fall. It isn't known whether it will be the same as or similar to the console versions, or a completely different game. If all goes well, we'll hopefully finally have a fully fledged car racing game for the Vita. A trailer for the console versions: Subscribe to the TouchArcade YouTube channel
@tygamr Do you mean 2nd DLC (for Escape Plan)? There's only one DLC in the store for me right now, and that's the Asylum Pack.
That supposed MH screenshot is from an upcoming Chinese PC MMORPG that has Monster Hunter in its title. It's probably not even an officially licensed MH game at that.
