The outside studio wouldn't be doing much other than converting it to run on the Vita- Pitchford said they'd provide all the assets, since they're all pretty much finished. So there's not many ways an outside studio could really make it a different game. Plus, that would clearly not be what Gearbox wants.
I'm not missing new releases at all at the minute the Wipeout DLC and Resistance have me very occupied the Wipeout one in particular because I'll replay the races endlessly until I get gold. that said I'm still missing a beat em up I want SF X Tekken already.
Just bought Ultimate Marvel vs. Capcom 3 and its pretty good. I saw the EVO 2012 competition of the UMvC and had the urge to actually buy and play it. So, here is my question, can you decide who you challenge in the arcade mode? Everytime I play a match, the game decides who I face.
That may be, but the big question is why don't Gearbox do it themselves? Too busy, or too risky? I suspect they're not convinced they'd see a return so don't want to invest the time & money.
An IOS/Android game just came out that may actually be able to keep me away from my Vita for a little while which would be the first time since launch My Monster Rancher if it's the same game I remember it's like something like Pokemon and I remember really enjoying it. Edit: Nevermind the game is trash played it for about two minutes and it was extremely poor, cut down and then it actually crashed shame as the original Monster Rancher games were brilliant, Looks like Vita is still getting all my gaming time. I'm just thinking when the Vita gets PS1 support I might be able to get the two originals now I've remembered them.
I was about to write the thing puts me off based on that picture right away is it looks like touch controls and I don't like the idea of holding the Vita. Then I watched the Video and it does look pretty cool I'm guessing the trigger buttons work as flippers and the graphics do look pretty good.
MGS lost me with the control scheme... I just can't get into it, I keep fighting with trying to do so many things and the awkward ways you invoke them, like holding people up. Hoping for some good Vita stuff soon, I've not touched my Vita since the YouTube app came out, and that was for 5 minutes I want to be playing it more! iCade Mobile + iPhone + emulators have been keeping me busy lately :\
Just saw this, it's partly the original Assassins Creed Liberation trailer, but there is some new footage mixed in: Subscribe to the TouchArcade YouTube channel
Same here its seriously peeing me off lol-im playin MGS3 and can hold people up at all-i cant even grab them like peace walker and choke their neck/slit throat-any help wud be grateful lol All i do is charge them and throw them about whilst getting shot lol
I bet the draw distance will be like in the Home Console/PC Assassins Creed games: Objects in the distance (30 - 50 meters away) are way less detailed (3D model wise) than objects next to you.
Just read some details and watched a few videos related to Streetfighter X Tekken here I think it looks very good definitely going to be a must buy for me.
It looks like Earth Defense Force is coming to the Vita. Super fun and frantic third person shooter, and it looks like this will have 4 player co-op. I can't throw my money at these guys fast enough.
Some Vita related game news: Machinarium by Amanita Design is getting a PS Vita version to launch alongside the PS3 version this fall. Not much is known about the Vita version of the game as it was discovered via an ESRB rating listing. Hopefully it has touch screen controls like the iPad version (and optional physical controls would be cool too). Jak & Daxter announcement trailer: Subscribe to the TouchArcade YouTube channel Cole announcement trailer: Subscribe to the TouchArcade YouTube channel When asked about the status of a PS Vita version of Borderlands 2, Randy Pitchford said that there is not yet a Vita version in development, but three studios have already approached him wanting to work on it since he expressed his desire to see one. He said that it's up to Sony to approve the porting process, but they are remaining silent. They have all the assets and interested studios- all they need now is Sony's approval.
