Varies according to model and phone company, but you're not likely to get a 4S for less than US$1000.
really considering the 3g bundle now. not the early launch one. You get super stardust delta and it's dlc free along with an 8 GB mem card. Really tempting because I was getting it anyways.
You also get it for free with the First Edition Bundle. On a sidenote, has anybody seen gameplay of Rayman Origins for the Vita? My god! It looks incredible! It scored a 9/10 with IGN and other review sites are raving about it. I'm gonna have to decide though because I won't be able to get them all. I've already got Uncharted, Hot Shots Golf, and Wipeout on my for sure list, along with the First Edition Bundle I'm trying to get. If I do get the FEB, the total cost will be $494! Or I could just wait for the 3G Bundle on launch day and just have to pay $454. Decisions decisions.....
@Slapshot: Rayman Origins for Vita is at the top of my list for sure! Looks amazing! Can't wait for the Vita on launch day.... !
Just a little quick update from me... I received my vita few days ago (imported), finish uncharted, and i tested a psp game (god of war: ghost of sparta) that i bought on my ps3, and transferred to my vita. Its been a few years since i last had my now stolen psp... im not sure if i game on the native machine is as pixelated as on vita. In contrast uncharted on vita is crisp and looks amazing. Had a blast with it However i'm glad that psp games will work on vita, keep me busy for a while (until my native ps store on vita comes out and more games available). For those who is wondering, if a psp game will not work on vita, it will be mentioned on the description in ps3's ps store.
Can you use both thumbsticks/are the controls updated when you play PSP games on the Vita? I'm ridiculously excited now...one more day until the First Edition Bundle in Canada!
You can let the right thumbstick sort or replace any of the other controlls. So the right thumbstick could be what would otherwise be the dpad or the OX[Triangle][Square] buttons or even the other thumbstick. (you can set wich it should replace)
Sorry i was going to buy metal gear peace walker to find out just that, but i guess psp game looks really dated in comparison to vita and i cant get myself to buy another game... Ghost of sparta seems like its design in a while to eliminate the use of a second analog stick, so no, it doesnt do anything when i push my right analog stick. I have a question too on that regard... how do old psp game get "vitalised" work? To be precise, how do i find out? From what ive seen, most if not all psp game on my ps3 store works with vita right off the bat. I know sony have published a list of psp games that is available on us vita store, doest it mean those game are "vitalised"? Just wondering because there's a few games i want that is being hampered by psp lack of second analog stick but will be wonderful with it. [EDIT] Just saw der-kleine reply... thanks for the info! Do you know what game will allow that?
No, in the PSP emulator, if you tap the screen a menu will come up wich will let you map the dpad, the other stick or the four buttons to the right thumbstick, atleast that's how I understand it from videos I've seen. => Every PSP game that can be played on the vita will be able to do that since it's a setting in the emulator Go to 2:32 - 3:42 in this video to see what I mean Subscribe to the TouchArcade YouTube channel
OH. Thanks for the info again! Did a bit of a digging and i found this http://andriasang.com/comzel/psp_vita_comparison/. For people who wants to know a bit more of psp game on vita, here's a short article about it. [EDIT] Thanks a lot for the video! Then from my understanding, you will still not get a total "analog stick" experience after the remapping... since it remap from a 8-way(?) camera control at best.
IGN has quite a few reviews up already. Unsurprisingly, Asphalt Injection and Dungeon Hunters Alliance are among the lowest reviewed games.
IGN gave Army Corps of a Hell a 7.0, while Game Informer gave it a 4.0. They gave Michael Jackson the Experience a 6.5, despite having only 15 songs. They gave Asphalt Injection a 6.0, despite being $29.99 and not that disimiliar from a two-year-old 0.99c iOS game. They gave Dungeon Hunter a 5.5, for a $30 port of a $12.99 PSN game. My feeling is that all of these games probably deserved a 5-5.5 rating, and that IGN is being a little soft. Except for Uncharted, in which the expectations were clearly unrealistic. Uncharted probably deserved a better score. I'm all for paying 40-50 for a game like Uncharted. Even 30 for Wipeout or Mod Nation Racer. Full retail price for a game like Lumines is hard for me to swallow, despite the score. I've purchased around 15 3DS games, and since sold back half of them, but Tetris for $34.99 wasn't one of them. Wipeout and Uncharted and Rayman are clearly the best traditional games. I dont like pure platformers. If I were to give anything else a try, it would probably be Asphalt Injection. 100 events, 20 tracks, around 50 cars for $29.99 isn't bad. Plus physical controls for an Asphalt game. Plus, the graphic seem similar to the A5-chip enchanced iPhone version. If you don't have the A5 chip, the graphics are significantly improved.
Which brings me back to Unit 13. I don't like the format, and don't know if it's something that could engage me, but my sense is that Uncharted and Unit 13 are the only games that will make you feel like you are playing a home console in your hands. There will be more games like this, but they take time to develop. And with remote sharing, you may very well be literally playing home console games in your hand.
Really considering Lumines now after all the praise. It looks like a nice twist on tetris with nice art and music.
