Expected as much, especially since Lego Harry Potter for Vita was an enhanced port of the 3DS/PSP version. What's worse though, is that the 3DS/PSP versions of recent Lego games are enhanced ports of the DS versions. So you're basically playing a good looking DS game on your Vita. Pretty stupid, especially since the PSP used to run ports of the console versions which looked better than recent portable Lego titles, and 3DS and Vita are a lot more powerful than the PSP. After Lego Batman, they stopped giving you a full Lego experience on portables (though the DS always had watered down Lego games, the only exception being Lego Star Wars The Complete Saga). Recent portable Lego games have also lacked multiplayer, and the 'buddy system', where you have a companion character that follows you around. They did bring the buddy system back to portables with this game, though I don't know about multiplayer. Refuse to buy any Lego games until they actually make good portable titles, because I don't enjoy playing them on consoles very much and prefer playing them on portables.

£25 that's reasonable actually the last time I saw it in a game shop they had Vita Fifa priced close to £50 and a few shelves away the PS3 one for about £30. Made me think EA had gone insanely greedy, basicly I think they were testing the waters to see what they could get.

Yep, probably. FIFA 13 is up for pre-order for around £35 I think (I saw it on TheHut or somewhere else).

Definitely disappointed it's not open world (especially since that means no cross-saves or cross-play/remote play), but I'm probably going to buy it anyway. The upside is that it's essentially a different game...or, at least, that's what I'm telling myself.

Lego Batman 2 Initial impressions... Keep in mine, I do not have the PS3/360 version to compare to (sorry).

Let's get this out of the way - I just looked at the 3DS version images and yes, this looks to be the same game as the 3DS but with sharper graphics. I recognize some of the initial stages and they look identical to each other. For a number of you, that will probably be end of story so hit your back button and move onto another game.

    For those still interested...

In a nut shell - it reminds me a lot of the first Lego Batman game on the PSP. It's the same type of game so far. Batman & Robin going from room to room and using special abilities to get past. If you enjoyed the original Batman game, you'll probably like this.

I've heard a lot of talk about PS3/360 being open world. Like other posts, there is no open world here. I've played through about 30 - 45 minutes so far and it's the same linear progression as other handheld Lego games. I'm not sure if something more will come about, but if you've played the recent Lego HP, Star Wars III, Pirates of the Caribbean, etc, you know what to expect here.

The action is more of the same with new locales, but basically the same. You can use the touchscreen to aim your boomerang, but it's pretty much traditional controls otherwise.

The graphics are pretty crisp, but definitely not Earth shattering. If you played Lego HP on the Vita, think more of the same. Framerate seemed steady to me and fine in that respect as well.

Sound and music are good with the typical lego sound effects and great music so far.

Action wise, it's the same defeat enemies, find pieces to puzzle, active and leave room. The one thing I did notice and I can't remember if the original Batman had was that if you do a rapid series of punching, it slows down things on the final hit/kick so it's slow motioned. Pretty neat, but would have been better if the guy you were hitting would explode into more of a dramatic fashion.

CGI movies are blurry, but there are actual voices to the characters now. No speech in that actual game though.

    Long story short -

You like DC? You like the other Lego games? Get this.

If you want open world, get the PS3/360 version.

Thanks for the impression, This game was in my must buy list because i am a DC Universe online player and just want to fly around like a super hero in the huge open world as seen on the e3 gameplay, it just felt right for the vita, Its a shame because many interested gamers are skipping this version for the lack of open world (Check the top gaming forums for proof). How could you tt? :mad:I'll save my money for Oddworld: Stranger's Wrath HD .

As cool as that would be, I'm guessing that they probably started development on this game along with Lego HP and it was probably a lot quicker doing the DS/3DS ported version.

Hopefully someday that will change and we will get the console versions instead. It is what it is and I like Lego games in general so enjoy this one so far.

  12. Walmart seems to have a Black Ops Declassified pre-order page already.

Sorry for the noob question, but how did you install the DLC? I have the ps3 versions and heard you could download the dlc for free if you had it. But how?

Really glad to see the Wipeout DLC it's one of the reasons I had to buy the game originally although I was beginning to suspect it was snake oil, now I just need to get some PSN credit together.

It should show up as free in the Playstation Store.

Has anyone noticed the 32 and 16 gig memory prices have dropped $20 on Amazon? A few more months and hopefully 32 will be $60.

*sigh* I downloaded Wipeout HD on a sub account and my Vita is connected to my master account. Any ideas on how to get the dlc on my vita?
