@PlayStationDE (The official german Playstation twitter account) confirmed Assassins Creed 3: liberation for the Vita! https://twitter.com/PlayStationDE/status/209349635389661184 My translation of it:
I think it'd be unrealistic to expect PS3 visuals, but I doubt the Resistance visuals even come close to what the system is capable of. My gripes aren't really graphically related, though I would say the visuals are bland. You have to remember that Sony have positioned the Vita as a 'high end portable console', therefore comparisons with PS3 are to be expected. £40 is a big ask for a game that falls flat on many levels imo.
Well tomorrow sony's e3 day, so why not we all just stop bitching and wait for killzone vita tomorrow?
Forgotten memories is going to be released this year and the developers have promised to port it to vita, so there's a survival horror game. I don't think the vita has many of those. And the game looks amazing
I think I may pick up Resistance soon, as I really want something new to play on my Vita, and Gravity Rush is still a week and a half away. Best Buy has a trade-in promotion where you get twice the trade in value for your games, so I'll probably take advantage of that. I'll trade in two 3DS games I never play - Mario Kart 7 (really mediocre) and Dead Or Alive: Dimensions.
God fan boys... Trashing vita by saying wii u controller has better graphic than ps vita.. I wonder of they ever heard of "streaming"... Just can't wait till just buy wii u and smash in their faces
Someone is a Sony fan boy. Have you seen the wii Us graphics? And what does streaming have to do with anything. I also have no idea what your last sentence is trying to say. In other news, I HOPE Sony announces the Ps one compatibility update to be released extremely soon. Can't wait to play twisted metal, crash bandicoot and final fantasy on my handheld!!
Time will tell I guess and it's not like you can take the Wii-U controller out with you to play games on but with any luck it might make Sony take remote play more seriously. I can't say I'm very hopeful of the Wii-U but the more competition the better I think. Another argument is if they really want to judge things by streaming graphics from elsewhere I have onlive on my phone which is probably higher end graphics anyway.
Lol haha do i really sounds like fan boy? I am not talking about wii u's graphic power. Sure it looks nice but it will get old like wii did. I was talking about how the people think that tablet controller itself is BETTER than ps vita... Lmao
I am sure Grapics shouldnt be downgraded at all since controller itself it's connected with the system...
Sound Shapes is coming on August the 8th: http://blog.eu.playstation.com/2012/06/04/sound-shapes-breaking-news-video-of-jim-guthries-cat/
Do they have a release date for it yet? It seems like they've been posting about it for iOS here on TA for years now...
Anyone do the first "real" boss fight in Resistance yet? I think its a very good area to really hone your skills with the controls. Its a little chaotic at first, but if you just take your time and formulate a strategy once you realize what needs to be done, it all comes together pretty well. I will admit that I was pretty disgruntled after dying the first 3 or 4 times, but once I figured out what to do and used a lighter touch on the controls, the boss went down in a snap.
What are the specs of the wii u? They'd better be a lot more beefy than the original wii because we all know how underpowered that was... I know there's improvement but what are the actual specs?
They said about a week ago that they'll be entering alpha "next month". Release is set for this year, likely around Christmas. They have actual gameplay posted now, and it looks absolutely unbelievable. They even got it running with full post processing, dof, motion blur, dynamic lighting, real time shadows etc @ 60 fps on iPad 2, so my only concern is when and if its actually going to be released... They also said a vita port is in the works, along with other platforms.
Well, this is a Vita thread but to answer your question, no-one knows entirely and Nintendo never really reveals exactly what powers their devices. Still reports from devs range from it being substantially more powerful than current gen to just a little bit more powerful.
Up until March I was reading the same thing, then in April developers started saying that it couldn't keep up with 360 and PS3. We shall see tomorrow.
