What are you talking about? Both feel the same! You should go to a different gamestop and try another. Kids these days are breaking everything... Haha
Mac support is confirmed for the next update along with video-recording support and a new map app: http://andriasang.com/comzvj/vita_v16_update/ I guess I won't need my PS3 to manage my Vita files anymore.
I don't think he meant physically loose. I doubt it would ware out within weeks of hitting the shelves unless people were unusually rough while playing.
Happy for you. Geez, sorry to infringe on your territory. I only just learned about it. We don't exactly get stuff very first where I am anyway.
I havent seen this posted yet and I read people mentioning the new bundle amazon was doing heres some more good info I found: First up, pre-ordering a Vita (WiFi or 3G) will bag you a free 8GB memory card. You can then add one of the following games for £15: Asphalt Injection Lumines Rayman Origins Michael Jackson: TheExperience Dungeon Hunter Alliance Virtua Tennis 4 I'm hoping this deal comes to the US
It seems that the second analog stick is too sensitive. You push the stick in a direction using what feels like the proper amount of force, and it overreacts to your command. It over-steers, basically. Like if the second stick controls the camera and you want to lift the camera up two inches and it jumps up six inches instead. Very hard to judge percise, incrimental movements. If you've used enough analog sticks, you have a basic feel for how one should react in your hands and this one reacts too much. I have faith that we'll be able to adjust over time, so its not a deal breaker. These analog sticks just handle a little differently, that's all. Different tactile feel. Different calibration level. I saw video of Asphalt Injection. Shamelessly, another port of Asphalt Adrealine, which is now a 2-year-old iOS game. It looks exactly like the A5 chip-enhanced version. If you own an iPad 2 or a 4S, Injection looks exactly like that. It's certainly a visual upgrade for anyone with lesser devices though. I thought I read where Injection has 100 events and 10 modes and I'm not sure the iOS version has that much content. Perhaps Injection is a similar game with expanded content. But even that I'm not sure of.
I'm assuming that your basing the statement on the playtime at gamestop demo unit? Did you find that the vita was comfortable to hold with the security device attached to the bottom of the unit? I know I could adjust to the vita but the clunky thing on the bottom made it slightly awkward for me to hold.
I just locked my preorder in for the FEB with Katamari and Hot Shots Golf. I love the system - it feels SO good and looks incredible. I'm hoping they add support for the Phantasy Star Portable games soon.
By the way, my opinion is based on 3 separate GameStop demo units. Not just one. It is very sleek and feels remarkable portable and lightweight in your hands despite being much larger in design then a PSP. I have no issues there. It feels comfortable. There is no button fatigue. All buttons are easily accessible. The physical design is in no way clunky. Only the tactile execution of the analog controls feel awkward. Every other aspect appears flawless. My only other gripes are with load times here or there, or with the lack of anti-aliasing in Uncharted. And I think something about the general control scheme of Gravity Rush feels poorly conceived. Those are minor issues. I played through most of MC3 for the PSP, back in the day, with like 90-second load times.
I posted about this a few pages ago but it's worth noting that the deal is also open to people who pre ordered before the bundle became available, Amazon emailed me 2 promo codes so I could take advantage of the offer, opted for Virtua tennis 4 in the end as well as the free 8 gig card of course.
What are your guys' thoughts on accessories? Any 'must have' accessories I should pick up with my Vita? I'm mostly looking for a travel case that can hold a few games but I'm not too fond of the official Sony pouch for some reason. I shall go do some digging around now. Btw, I just saw some footage of Bioshock 2 running via remote play with the hacked firmware. Cool stuff.
I was looking for a case that holds games too, and I narrowed down my search to two cases. I decided to go with the first one though.
Here in malaysia we're getting the vita even latter than the states... if i'm not mistaken its not even offical yet. I'm importing one from hk and should be receiving it soon...
I already have a silicone case and carrying case in my hands for my Vita, cheap ones I got Ebay, but they're good enough for me. I'm considering getting my Vita from one of those websites where you get points for doing stuff(like watching videos), I wonder if it really works. It's a worth a try I guess, if it doesn't work I'll just get it the old fashioned way(buying it).
I always buy official accessories for all my consoles/handhelds as I usually find third party ones to be cheap/poorly made. Here in the uk, try as I might, I was struggling to find the official Sony branded accessories pack to pre order anywhere so in the end I bought one from eBay from a place in Hongkong, it turned up today and is pretty cool, has the wrap around case, a case for games/memory cards, a wrist strap and screen protector. Paid around £20 in total but I'm guessing there will be hundreds of similar third party ones avaliable at launch.
I'd actually disagree when it comes to Sony accessories I think you are a lot better off with third party ones. The official ones tend to be seriously overpriced and poor quality. Unfortunately it may be a while before any third party stuff is available so I guess it depends if you are willing to wait. I find this goes for basicly everything Sony not just console stuff, last accessory I bought from them was a seriously overpriced £40 ereader cover that looked more like it would cost about £5 from anyone else.
Perhaps, I'm basing that on all console companies though rather than just Sony. The accessories pack that I have looks to be fairly good quality though.
Well the Sony Vita portable battery doesn't look to bad with 5000mah but then I haven't seen the price yet and if it's close to £50 I'd rather just buy a mini Gorilla which will power all my devices (including netbook). I'm not saying all Sony accessories are poor quality but they usually are very overpriced.
Ok I saw this mentioned a few weeks ago but only on Amazon.com so thought was US only... I was originally going to get my Vita from Game (already preordered etc) this is what I had chosen: Vita £230 4gb card £18 Uncharted £45 Total =£293 Then browsing Amazon earlier deciding on a case I saw that I could get the bundle Vita with a £15 game and free 8gb card!?! So I went on to order: Vita Wi Fi 8gb card Rayman Total =£233.99 Then I added on Uncharted £37.90 PS Vita licensed crystal case £19.99 Plus £10.15 p&p to guarantee I get it all on 22nd Feb Total I pay £302.03 less than £10 more and I get a hell of a lot more than I would have from Game So everyone go cancel your I store pre orders and get on amazon lol
