Hey guys, sorry if this is in the wrong area, but I needed some help. I used to be a Sony guy, before I got my iPod Touch. Once I bought my iPod, I never again touched my PSP. I had a Playstation Network Account, set up so it could use the Playstation Store on PSP. However, it seems I have since lost the password. I am about to cancel the debit card I had set up the PSN account with (switching banks), and I can't get in. It will not accept the password I had previously written down, and it won't accept the "Forgot Password" action, so it seems as if it won't take my date of birth or email either. I'm no longer sure what to do, and I was wondering if you guys knew anything about it. p.s.- I know this is an iPod website, but since my problem is signing in I can not post on the Sony forum. Any help is appreciated.
Call Sony customer service. That's the best answer I can give you. The "forgot password" option should be available to you, and should work. Are you sure you're using the same e-mail address as the one you used to set up the account?
Thanks for the help I'll try calling them later. For some reason, the "Forgot Password" button won't accept my email. I've tried all my former email addresses, mainly the one I had told Sony to send the newsletter to when I signed up. Is there any chance it deletes the account after awhile?
I doubt they delete accounts, so it's kinda weird if they don't recognize any of your email addresses. How about just making a new account? If they don't have your email addy on file you should be able to use it with a new PSN ID.
If I start playing again, I probably will make a new one, but I've got some purchases and a debit card attached to the account. I just didn't want it to charge something to the card, because I'm about to close the card and switch to a different bank. You don't think Sony'd get pissed, would you?
Alrighty, I've gotten ahold of Sony and changed my password. Thanks for the help, everybody. Oh, and what do I do with the thread now? Do I delete it somehow?
