I have a Mophie battery pack that I flip on when the battery drops below %50, I don't know if that counts or not. I also use my iPad quite often while it's docked in front of the computer but I never move around and play games while tethered.
Most games will deplete the battery with a long play so it's standard to plug in and continue for me.
It wrecks your battery. You should also never charge your iPhone unless it is below 30%, or unplug it until it's fully charged.
I'd say I use my iPod while charging maybe 15-20% of my total time with it, usually while watching streaming TV shows (jailbreak ftw) before going to bed.
Yeah I do it all the time. Sometimes, I can't wait to do it, you know? And sometimes I have to do it in quietly or else my roommate would notice. But I'm happy when he goes out for groceries or the gym. Then I can do it for the whole hour!
My iPhone 4 has a really bad battery life. I have to charge it every day, even when I don't use it except for a few phone calls.
Wrong. Lithium Ion batteries last longer when they are frequently charged. Furthermore, their life span is measured by number of charge cycles - meaning you are proling he life of your battery if you play while charged & plugged in. (if you drain the battery 30% then charge it, that's 0.3 charge cycles, not one whole life cycle.)
Yeah, I charged both of my iPod Touches (1st and 3rd gen) while playing and do so very often. Battery problems have never been an issue. And like the guy above me said, they're designed to be charged and played with. A it prehistoric if they didn't!
I've been doing that all the time with various devices (iPhone, iPad, iPod, etc) for a few years not only with wall chargers but also external batteries and never had any problem whatsoever, even my ancient 5G iPod still have a decent battery time.
