That's weird. Tested on iPhone 4 and works well either if you touch or slide. iOS version? Try closing some apps running on the background (double tap the home button and select the apps you want to close). Are you sure you're playing the newest version?
There no other apps running on the background on my iPhone4. It sometimes had this delay or lag on my iPhone4 when doing a slide. It works perfectly with touch. Game works perfectly on my iPad2.

Tested on both 4.3.3 and 4.3.5 If you hold down the slide bar and move it left and right, everything to do with ship controls lag by a second, including pressing the fire button. I never have more than one app aside from the one I'm using on the task bar. That's the problem I had, but pressing on the side bar it works well. Thanks iAnimex, I can now partake in the contest! xP
I got the latest version. I've redownloaded it to be sure and still the same when sliding to move. Only way to fix this is by TOUCHING the left and right on the panel. It works perfectly that way.
