It says "..and trails look." It's kinda awkward wording. I think saying "and trail patterns" or trail designs would sound better
I was asking myself the same question . Got a few good comments but generally they're quite a silent bunch of 40 people . Will send the survey to shake things up soon. We're now trying to fix issues related to the port process, and implementing google+ leaderboards and stuff over there. Hopefully we'll have a second Android build soon. Right after that, we'll prepare the iOS build for submission to Apple.
Since that was asked, I gathered the answers we've got for the survey on iOS. The questions were: 1- How would you rate the game globally? (1-10) 2- How would you rate visuals and ambiance? (1-10) 3- How would you rate gameplay and fun factor? (1-10) 4- How would you rate the amount of content and replay value? (1-10) 5- How does the difficulty of the game feel for you? A- Tough but I like it! B- Perfect as it is C- Bit too hard D- Bit too easy E- Very too hard F- Very too easy 6- How does the progression for missions feel for you? A- Fine as it is B- Too easy to progress C- Too hard to progress 7- How does the upgrades price balancing feel for you? A- The prices seem fair B- The prices could be higher C- The prices could be lower And the results: 1--8--10--7--10--8--10-8--7--9--9--9-10--8 2--9--10-7.5-10--7--6--8--6--8--8--8--8--9 3--7--10--8--10--8--9-10--9-10-10-10-10-10 4--7--10--8--10--9--8-10--9--8-10-10--9--7 5--A--A---A--B---B--C-A--A--A--A--A--A--C 6-----A---A--A---A--B-A--A--A--A--A--A--A 7-----A---A--A---A--A-A--A--A--A--A--A--C The average: 1- 8.7 (Global) 2- 8 (visuals/ambiance) 3- 9.3 (gameplay/fun) 4- 8.9 (content/replayability) And interestingly, if we make the average on categories 2,3 and 4, we also get 8.7 (for each player, the global note is different than the average on 3 categories, but not if we take the global average on all players)
Well..those devices generally need the hamster to be awake so I'm sure they will get their responses in prob intimidated.. # cheers for ios release soon dude..congrats on a great one..imo
The average: 1- 8.7 (Global) 2- 8 (visuals/ambiance) 3- 9.3 (gameplay/fun) 4- 8.9 (content/replayability)[/QUOTE] That seems like good feedback..it was all pretty right there..nice! so I am among those who can't put it down.. (k) even after testing..good news dude.
It happened, a first (new) game submission to Apple in 2 years!! Most intense development yet, 3 months on rush from start to end . Hoping for a release on February 5 but we're still having issues on Android so we'll see.
Been meaning to get over to Droid Gamers to post some impressions and saw this post. Didn't want to be one of those "silent" beta testers for the Android version. Game is excellent. The minimalist and twitch style is all the rage now so it's perfect for a new platformer to jump into the fray. Controls work perfectly on my Nexus 7 and haven't really noticed any bugs. Great work!
Ah no pun intended . My interpretation is that Android users are a bit less used to Testflight and the feedback mechanic, as well as being a bit less 'centralized' as a community. That and the fact that the closer a project is to release, the less reaction it will generate, that's the nature of beta testing. Thanks that's much appreciated! We're still trying to have the game run on os 2.3 but that's hard to test as we have no such device.
Yeah. I hear you on the centralized part. I was the one who asked for the Android forum here hoping to get something good going, but sadly it never took off. Droid Gamers is good but nothing comes close as far as forums for Android compared to TA. There's millions of Droid gamers too, but there's just no great community. Some of that may be device fragmentation but I don't get it. But I still mostly game on iOS anyway.
Though, I already met several awesome people over there supporting indie developers, so it's not from a lack of greatness .
That's true, its awesome and I'd like to add something on that. At the beginning of the industry, it was about simplicity, challenge, fun and having fresh experiences. Then it got cornered into a race to polygons instead of gameplay. The rise of smart phone and accessibility for developers threw the industry back to its roots. Over the last couple of years, it had a tendency to collapse again on a few genres. Fortunately, the indie movement is still strong, it kicks back at the industry. This creates balance and keeps the roots of video games healthy. Free the video games! (not to confuse with video games for free hehe)
Hello. I really truly am enjoying this game. I sent you a fairly long email with my feedback. I am not sure that you have received it. I did not receive a reply, nor did I receive the Poll discussed on this thread. I feel terrible if you think I am one of the "silent testers" for android. Let me know if you received the email. If not, I can forward it to a different email,or post it all here? I sent it on I think, the 25th to your email starting with "info" as described in the test flight email. I do have more feedback to send, but I'll wait until I hear from you. Thanks! Edit: I just realized that this post should have been in the android section. Please forgive me. I will post it there.
Sorry, the email had passed through unnoticed, I just sent a reply. Thanks a lot for the comments, very glad you enjoy the game!! We're quite close to a new Android build. The only dodgy thing separating us from a release is how the game run on OS 2.3. Everyone is on 4.x, which makes it hard to test.
