The ship has a maximum movement speed, but I can still put in direct touch and it will move to your finger as fast as it can. The real challenge is adding more control options without it being cluttered. I've played a few shooters on iOS where I couldn't tell what the many control types were without trying them out, and it was kind of annoying.

    Thanks Danny!

If you get hit whilst you have a bomb equipped, the bomb will automatically asplode and you get to keep your current multiplier. Nice touch. :)

Damm... so few megabytes, so much joy.

Awesome music. Fun enemies and great looks. Thanks for a great game! Woohooo! It's been awhile since I've enjoyed a top down shooter this much. :-D

Love it! Has a strong Galaga vibe, but feels contemporary and fresh. If you've watched the trailer and are still on the fence, you should just get it because all the raves on this thread are on point. An auto shooter with a simple one touch control that feels like an updated retro arcade shooter from the 80's, hell yeah!

damnit - was playing hardcore mode on my iPad 2 - iOS 6.1.3 - and the game crashed on me when I was on level 55. =oO

I had one of those spike shields, and started to follow one of those worms around, sitting on it's head to damage it, and the game just crashed...

Oh wow... Definitely a great shmup. Somehow, i really like these seemingly wave-per-wave approach rather than broken down into stages.

    Really good game. Thanks SV!

Ha, no problem-o. Glad you're enjoying it.

I'm just happy that I actually knew a couple people that didn't have the game yet. =oP

    Lame!

Hopefully this is fixed in the first patch. Apple just started reviewing it, so that should be out today or tomorrow.

Glad you like the game though!

Made it to level 61 on Hardcore, 10.8 mil. It's funny how I play better on Hardcore than Conquest. :-/

  14. Yes, if there is anyway you can add a direct touch option, that would be great. And if it ever works out that this game can support icade, that would be awesome.

Thanks for a wonderful game. :D

  15. I can't believe that I actually got it before SV during my icade core hiatus. Now enjoying all the Metal Slug games since they are on sale now. X rocks! Metal slug 3 with hdmi tv with my icade core at the bottom.

This is the first non icade game I have bought in two weeks! Woohoo! Well, maybe one day the game will support icade cause I did get the developer to buy one hehe... :D

Ha, no kidding! That ''one hit and you're dead'' mechanic is a real performance enhancer. ;)

Voted for Plasma Sky in the Game of the Week thread, it's a true iOS classic in my eyes.

Thankfully the bomb protection thing still works in hardcore.

I'm still cracking at both modes though... still can't shake that last high score I posted in hardcore which landed me in 8th... but now I'm bumped to 30th. Still, I know I can do better. My last run ended around the 2 million mark because of my finger in the way.

I did find a small bug in the game. Not gameplay related, but when you open game center through the app to look at high scores and then rotate your system to landscape mode it completely flips the image top to bottom. Rotating back makes GC take up 1/2 the screen long ways and the other half shows the game running in the background. Strange bug. Thankfully the "done" button still works.

This is on an iPhone 4S with 6.1.3. I'd imagine it affects everyone though.
