Your post has got to be one of most helpful I've ever come across on the touch arcade forum, no, seriously, it is.
Save up the chocolate until you have at least a half full zen garden (initially by buying marigolds) Make sure your plants are all happy then feed Stinky the chocolate and leave the zen garden running for an hour. You should be able to make between 10k and 20k off of one piece of chocolate if your garden is full enough. As you acquire more plants by playing the adventure and mini games, sell any marigolds, replacing them with the plants you earn. You can also make money buying the plants that are for sale every day, raising them, then selling them back. I hope this response was more helpful than Mr. Wexer's. BTW that screen shot is a work of photoshoppery (in case it wasn't screamingly obvious to everybody reading this thread.
Earn money , change system date to buy random plant quickly All you need is luck but sometime you need cheat @Ubisububi: photoshop ???
Plants purchased from Crazy Dave are not available in the Zen Garden (cob cannon, gold magnet) plus you've got plants that are not in pots and almost 1,000 doses of fertilizer and bug spray (the max is 20). Unless the iPhone version has secret and more awesome features than every other version, your Zen Garden does not actually look like that. If I'm wrong I will be quite happy, however. I would love the cob cannon, in my garden. P.s. I neglected to mention that you may have hacked the game rather than manipulating the image. If that is the case: I salute you, sir!
Does anybody know how to get the "Chilli Free" Achievement (complete the "Column Like You See 'Em" mini game without using Chilli Peppers)? I can't seem to manage it and as this achievement appears to be unique to the iPhone there are no strategies posted anywhere on the internet.
Row of tallnuts in the front with pumpkin shield, as many watermelons in the back as you can, don't place magnets behind the tallnuts, need at least 1-2 layers of chompers equipped with pumpkin shields behind it to protect the magnets. It's really hard still, and it's mostly luck as sometimes you get only like 2 rows of watermelons, and sometimes you get 4 rows. There's no way you can survive the waves with only 2 rows of watermelons. Still the hardest achievement in my opinion is "pyromaniac". Complete a level only using explosive plants. It'll fail even if you use one of the lawnmowers. Took me 3 tries to get this achievement on the very first daytime level.
I'd say you wont see a sequel to Peggle or PvZ till after the ipo\Sale. It's more valuable to the company to have these titles after any big financial shake up to prove the place can still be creative under new ownership...
My wife found this difficult also, but I did it for me, then for her back to back. The key thing to realize is that you will never defeat the second to last wave with your plants without using peppers. Accordingly, what you must do is *buy time* so that the mowers completely take out the second to last wave. That does not interfere with the achievement. The roof mowers are thus a mandatory buy to go for the achievement if you dont have them already. Understanding the importance of stalling the giant 2nd to last wave, dont waste a pumpkin refreshing the pumpkins on the first row if there are still *some* pumpkins left on that row, rather completely pumpkin up the second and third rows of defense. It doesnt matter if you pumpkin up an empty row of flower pots. Your buying time. The very last wave is much, much smaller and can be dealt with if you have a plant or two you can re-plant, plus using what is given you. It also tends to come in the rows in which the prior wave was lightest, meaning there is a decent chance you will have lawnmowers left in that row. Beyond that, its common sense stuff . . . dont know that more specific tips are needed.
Thank you very much! I will give that strategy a try. I didn't have any trouble with the Pyromaniac achievement but only because I read elsewhere that Cob Cannons are considered explosives. Again, thank you. Edit: It worked! Placing the row of magnets farther back was the key. You are my hero.
Oh lol silly me, I didn't use cob cannons since I didn't even buy it yet, no wonder. I got pyromaniac using only potato mines, imitator potato mines, chilli pepper, cherry bomb, and doom shroom. Also try the lawnmower strategy by ArtNJ. I never tried that before since I never use lawnmowers unless I have to, and it's not really the "orthodox" way of beating a level, but it might be much simpler.
I had a hard time with this, but finally beat it. After I beat it, I realized I had never purchased the roof cleaners. So it is possible to beat without the roof cleaners.
Yup. I was doing all of that but unable to stall being overwhelmed long enough to take out the entire 2nd-to-last wave. For me, it was all about magnet placement. Thanks for the great tips. Very comprehensive.
LOL...i had one gargantuar left and he was about to take me out but I used a squash and that was enough to take him out as my watermelons had already weakened him.
Does anyone know which levels you can get a tallnut and seashroom for the Zen Garden? The exact levels please... I've played the pool conveyor belt level (bonus games) at least 30 times now, since you get the tallnut and seashroom in the pool stages. So far I've got 4 squashes, 4 seaweeds, 4 lilypads, 4 3-peaters, and 4 torchwoods (no joke, 4 of each...)! Ugh but no tallnuts or seashrooms.....
I think it's fairly random - I got my tallnut this morning as a random 'gift box' from crazy dave that costs $7500
I believe the seashroom only drops on a fog level (it's a shroom, after all)... The one I'm having trouble with is the Doom Shroom. I have everything but that, and the obsessive completionist in me is really struggling to cope.
