iPad Plants vs Zombies (by Popcap Games)

It's funny how most people are worried about "achievements" and "gamecenter", ie a bunch of numbers and letters boosting your own ego indicating you did something, instead of actual content updates like - more mini-games? Endless mode? Bonus content?

 

I have no faith in an update with actual content MR. so Gamecenter is easily implemented and should be doable for popcap

 

I think it's more likely that we'll see a Plants Vs. Zombies 2 at some point.

 

This is why endless mode is needed

The iPad version just got an update. I wonder if we're going to see one too.

 

Game Impressions

I have it for iPhone. I loved it on PC. On iPhone is even better.
It works quite well even on my old iPhone 2G.

 

I really hope they update Ipod/iPhone version with Game Centre too. Love this game.

 

Game Center would be great, but I really hope they add the minigames in the desktop version, or at least what's in the iPad version. Doesn't the iPad have the minigames or at least some of them?

Looks like this got the GC support but I don't think we're ever going to see additional content now. :/

 

Ugh, just GC update. I would love endless mode and retina display!

 

It does have mini-games. Every few levels in story mode, you unlock a new one.

 

The desktop version has a ton more mini-games and challenges, including endless mode. It's much easier to earn money rather than replaying the same levels over and over and over and over to unlock everything and even then you don't get much for it.

The Zen Garden would turn be amazing on the phone just for the chillax status of it.

Anyways yet another completely useless update came out.
- A new rating system to make it easier to give 5 star reviews (how the hell does this count as an update??) to help Popcap's wallet, like they still need any more 5 stars
- "Minor bug fixes" = no fixes, we're just fooling around with you
And that GC thing that people couldn't care less about unless they're desperately in need of internet ego.

 

I tweeted popcap ages ago re:new modes for PvZ, they said "we hope so" or something to that effect, I can't remember. If they've got anything in mind, i do wish they'd hurry up with it...

 

Was really hoping for a retina update but Id take new modes over that.

One thing of note, I have the Last Mown Standing achievement in game, but it gave me the Lawn Mower Man achievement instead in Game Center which I dont have in game.

 

How does this handle the fact that there are multiple saves in this game, with regard to GameCenter? I don't want my kids' saves to affect my GameCenter achievements and scores. In fact, would like if they could have their own GC account and have the different saves apply to different GC accounts. No doubt impossible.
