They obviously did it for a reason and it's a good thing the world doesn't revolve around people like you. It still is a five star game it's not Popcap's fault your ten years old and want to show off the Micheal Jackson zombie to all your friends.
Actually the first thing I did that day was tell all my friends who had it about the new achievements and even showed a couple. As said previously, the mj zombies being removed wasn't Popcaps fault and I'm sure they would re-add them if I didn't mean possibly facing court. My idea is if they realize a dlc with all the content from the pc game, and then use this money if they do go to court, hopefully there will be no loss, and if they win, we get dlc, popcap get money and we get mj zombies back. But of course I don't expect popcap to do this if they don't wish.
I'm 29. And I loved that michael jackson zombie. But I do agree with you. I dont blame Popcap for removing the MJ zombie. Nor do I expect popcap to alert users about this. In any case, now that I know about this, I'm gonna make sure that I keep a backup of the old version before updating the app Thats too much trouble for something this insignificant. Its not a game changer. Just a nice addition people wont even miss if they didnt know about it already.
i agree that its not popcaps fault, but i do think they would have been a lot wiser to let people know about it ! transparancy is a very good thing in public relations and there would have been a lot less problems if they had just added to the update text "we have unfortunately had to replace the dancing zombie with a disco zombie due to legal issues" if they added that everyone would have known what was going on and there would have been a lot less moaning ! mind you even ignoring that i'm not updating at the moment for 3 reasons 1. too many people reporting crashes 2. adds nothing of interest - no endless, no retina... 3. mj is gone
I can't got too upset about the MJ removal. Have they replaced him with some other kind of zombie or is the MJ zombie just gone? Actually, I'm not really a huge fan of this game, to tell the truth. I like it alright. My kids like a it a lot, but they don't even know who MJ is. Also, I concur about Insaniquarium. I had a lot of fun with that game on my old Palm PDA and would love to see that on my iPhone.
You guys bitch way too much. PopCap is busting there ass off trying to fix this. Let them be. Popcap announced a days ago that there will be a replacement. Also it seems 1.3 is out. Stop complaining and go get it.
Bugfix update is live. It may not show that the update is available for everyone as it's still being propagated out to all the servers, but you'll see it soon!
This is just a critical bugfix for the crashing caused by the recent 0.0.1 patch. The 0.0.1 patch had 12 new achievements, "perfmance enhancements", additional languages, and the removal of the dancing zombie that resembled MJ and replaced with a generic Disco zombie
Ok thanks I don't see what the problem is with leaving the thriller dance in this game??? Are the Jacksons getting short of cash I wonder. Give alittle back to the fans and let them tell there kids when playing pvz, that there is the thriller dance. Made and thought up by the worlds greatest pop artist of all time Mj.
It's probably more to do with the fact he's dead - it might seem a bit tasteless if you just saw 1 screenshot of an Undead Michael Jackson and had no premise of the game, or the fact it was created before he croaked. But under that kind of thinking the actual Thriller music video should be 'updated'
It has nothing to do with him being dead. The estate of Michael Jackson contacted Popcap and said they felt that the dancing zombie resembled MJ too closely. In the game it specifically states that the likeness to any person(s) living or dead is purely coincidental so Popcap shouldn't have had any issues but instead they just caved and without a fight. Do you have any idea how many people ran around with a jheri curl and red leather suit after the thriller video came out!? I think it's ridiculous that the estate of michael jackson would have anything against what is clearly a tribute but I find it more ridiculous that popcap is not only caving without a fight but also patch all their past releases to take it out.
Hehe. Did you update through iTunes? If so, check your trash. The old PvZ .ipa should be in there, so just replace the new version with the old one I'm not 100% sure it'd work, but to be honest I don't see why it wouldn't.
It does work but move it from the trash to the desktop, then delete the update from itunes, then double click the old one on the desktop, it then works.
