Hi, i've just update the app, but it's crashing on startup. I've got a 3Gs iphone with last firmware. Someone else is experiencing the same problem?
^ lol, obviously. Don't you read the reviews and other posts? TONS of people are rating the new update 1 star in iTunes because of this half-assed "update". It's funny the update is version 0.0.1, and yet it's accurate because this so called update feels like a downgrade. Taking the Thriller zombie out and not even mentioning this was a lame move.
I think you're being a little over-dramatic about all this..Yes, Popcap did release a shoddy update. Is that a reason to blow up about it? No. Its just an iPhone game, and rest-assured Popcap will pump out an update to fix the crash so they can keep making money. On a side-note, the new icon is a slight improvement [not that it matters for me, I use a custom one] & the removal of the Thriller really was unnecessary.
thriller is gone? :O im never updating lol, and i have to say i prefer the ipads pvz icon, though it is an improvement over the old iphone one
What's so bad about the update. What's so bad about. Apart from the removal of the thriller zombies and that sometimes the game starts lagging a bit when lots of plants and zombies on the screen, but the 12 new achievements are fun and gave new life to the game for me. Hopefully they'll fix the crash issues and put some more stuff in on 8/7, if they do plan on doing anything for the iPhone version then.

At a guess, Popcap got a cease and decist letter from Jackson's estate, so they didnt have much choise unless they wanted a fight or to pay. So I dont know that you should blame Popcap here. Just a guess, but I would bet that is what happened.

They haven't removed it out of choice, they did it because they probably HAD no other choice but to replace it.
Wait they removed MJ? FUUUUUU I already updated. I can understand why though. Kind of in bad taste since people will assume they made him a zombie after his death.
In all honestly the Jackson Estate would not be able to hold that up in court and PopCap Games would have had no problem keeping the Dancing Zombie in the game. I'm sure they chose to remove him out of respect and to avoid having to go to court over the matter and waste money and the courts time. The Dancing Zombie is a great throw back to the Thriller video and is in no way meant to hurt MJs reputation. Some people just can't take a joke.
but those do nothing afterall, while original disco-zombie was sth you wanted to see yourself or show to the friends... will you show any of the 12 achievements to the friends?
What's the MJ dancer zombie replaced with? Or removed altogether? This "update" did absolutely nothing other than make the icon look worse. I don't see any reason why anyone would bother updating, or why Popcap even wasted their time updating this and expect people to update. "Guys we've been sued so please manually delete the MJ zombie from your games by downloading this". I'm just going to play some player-made mods for PvZ. Ever since they announced they would rather expect people to play PvZ on a TV than develop PvZ 2 which would take next to no effort, I've lost interest in any new Popcap games and updates.
Wish they would've said this in the patch notes. This news is bigger than 12 new achievements! DAMN YOU POOPIECAP!!!!
