Popcap games made a lot of money with this game but WTF they didn't answer to users complains and add a Survival Mode ????
why care to support?? the game is doing great on sales than any other iphone game....they will move to another game to develop . can you give me a reason to make them support the game???
you are right. they should add a survival mode. i was gonna buy the game but because of this i changed my mind. i asked them on twitter about survival mode and they don't give a ****.
If I were Popcap, I'd sell survival, zen gardens, puzzle and mini games all separately via IAP, so they'll add up to 9.99 altogether, which is how much the full game costs everywhere else.
You're right but simply to take care from their own users. It could be a DLC or whatever ! Instead of, people can download it for free illegally on their PC. And a survival mode isn't the most huge upgrade we can ask them. It's only a reward for the users IMO.
I am pretty sure the older generation iPhones cannot handle survival mode. I have an iPhone 3G and during some "final waves" the system slows down very noticeably. When I watch some youtube vids on higher survival mode levels/waves, I know that my iPhone could never handle this (the 3Gs and 4G/HD probably would though - but I can already imagine all the negative comments if this will only do good on newer iDevices). I would like to have survival mode but I think you get an extremely polished game as it is now. So there is no reason to be mad a PopCap games as they released something working and polished right from the start. Compared to the 1000 games that need numerous updates to actually bringing it to be a real, working game, this is great and I would buy the game again anytime!
Did I miss an announcement? Are these modes coming to the iPod Touch version? I would gladly pay IAP for them. Don't tell me this is speculative wishful thinking! I would love them!
It's just people talking as far as I know. There is no indication that PvZ is ever getting these modes on the iPhone (I believe the iPad has most or all of these).
To point out Popcap's track record of updates, I believe Peggle is still v1.0. I know Bejeweled 2 got some updates, but definately not the degree you see a lot of indie developers provide updates.
And that's definitively a shame ! Don't care to buy mega jump useless characters, I want an endless mode on PvZ !!!
This is because the games usually are polished and finished when released. It is not Minigore or 100 Rouges where you get lots of updates. Half of them to make them actually games and the other half to fix bugs of the unfished games and to fix the screwed updates. When a game is polished, works great, and actually is worth to be called a game, then I don't see a need for updates - of course I would be happy to get some, but definiately no reason to be mad at the devs or to call it a shame...
