What's the difference between the computer version and the iphone version? And how is it $23? I thought the computer version was $20.
you can even get it for 10$ on steam i think the iphone version does just has the adventure mode and the minigames i guess
it has a survival mode,20 (!) different minigames, zen garden mode(you can plant and grow your plants) and a puzzle mode...it's pretty huge
yes, puzzle mode (more Vasebreaker levels and levels where you play as the Zombies), and some great minigames that aren't in the iPhone version. It doesn't have the iPhone achievements or quick play mode where you can jump to any level.
After I got the iPhone version I had to check out the PC version because I think this game is so great! After I played through the iPhone version, I've pretty much been playing mostly the PC version now. It has lots of cool extras like everyone has said before. The Zen Garden is pretty cool. There's some great mini games. Love actually being the zombies in some levels....nice touch! I would gladly pay for some DLC and I really hope Popcap adds some extra stuff because I just love having PvZ on the go. So, if you really like the portable version, I suggest you check out the full version. Unless you wanna hold out for DLC? This game will be the so amazing on the iPad someday! Have I mentioned this is such an addictive and fun game?!
I wish there was a cheap source for the Mac versions of their games. On the PC you've got Steam, but nothing like that for the Mac that I'm aware of. $20 is too much for PvZ. $10 would be more palatable.
I got the Mac version for $10 on one of those one day half price sales - MacZot or MUPromo, I forget which. Someone posted earlier in this thread about a way to get the Mac version for $7. It was signing up for a membership site, getting the game and then canceling. Worst case, signing up for PopCap's newsletter (free) will give you 10% off on your first game and more on future purchases.
cool thanks very soon i will buy this upgrade and i will really dont know what to do next)) possibly wait for the update!
Has there been any word on an update yet? At first I thought it was a foregone conclusion, just a matter of time, but then I read that the minigames and other modes like survival that were left out, were because the iPhone couldn't handle them?
No, the Vasebreaker and i Zombie puzzle levels should be much easier in terms of resources. I can't see any reason why they couldn't be done on the iPhone. Maybe survival mose might lag some, but I have filled the screen in later levels of adventure mode without much lag on an iPod Touch third generation. I think it is just a matter of time.
How much fun is survival mode on the PC, and for how long can one play? On the light version, I could play for about 6 flags, or 3x as long as a normal level. (But the light version on the PC is very different, so I'm sure thats not representative.)
As for how long, well, endless: Click this only if you want to be really spoiled with some gamebreakingly powerful setup. If you don't want to be spoiled, that one is going at 2128 flags. As for how fun, that depends on the person really, it mostly involves creating a setup that can kill everything, if it's your thing to find that out it can be fun
Oh, wow thats clearly broken then. I had kind of assumed you would get more and more bungee jumpers, carts, zombonies, footballers, giants and other problematic zombies over time to the point where it would get incredibly hectic, massive micro, and eventually you couldnt keep up, not that you could just create some uber set-up and cruise. (I cant follow that link to the uber set-up, doesnt seem to work, but the concept is dissapointing.)
That's what I thought too. I am not at all interested in this other concept of endless mode. This is sort of like playing level 6 over and over again. I want to play level 7 then 8 then 9 and so on until I get killed. Michael
