That is simply a no-brainer. People that hate cartoony graphics love PvZ. So do people that hate tower defense. If you want to see some examples, watch from about 2:00 - 11:00. This is a review of the computer version, but it will give you a good idea of why they like the game.

I can safely say that this is better than either of the other 2.

I've never been a tower defense fan and am not sure if that's what this game is. I havnt tried this game and would like to know why everyone seems so excited about it.
Is it a tower defense game? And should I even try if I don't like TD games?

    Gold Farming Layout

Here's my Gold Farming Layout for Plants vs. Zombies (iPhone).

    1. Choose Quick Play.
    2. Choose Day 2.
    3. Choose Sunflower, Kernel-Pult, Snow Pea, Garlic, Squash, Pumpkin, Marigold, Gold Magnet, Magnet-Shroom. You need 9 slots.
    4. Plant Sunflowers. Use Squashes to kill the first zombies.
    5. Plant Garlics.
    6. Plant Kernel-Pults, Snow Peas.
    7. Plant Magnet-Shroom, Gold Magnet, Marigold.
    8. Keep planting Marigolds. Use Pumpkins and Squashes to defend yourself.

I'm only lightly interested in tower defense games, but completely in love with Plants vs. Zombies. I don't even know that I can't explain why, but the beautiful thing about this game is you can try out a large chunk of the content by playing the online version. Go to http://www.popcap.com/ and you'll see there is an online version of Plants vs. Zombies. Click on that and give it a try. You'll be able to figure out in 5-10 minutes whether or not this is a TD style game you would enjoy.

No offense but this is just totally unneeded. Gold just rolls in like crazy on the second play through...do whatever the heck set up you want that involves planting a bunch of marigolds. Its not remotely hard to get cash.

My gold farming layout- once you beat adventure, go to 1-1. Before the very last zombie dies, delete all plants that could damage him. Plant a wall-nut in front of him. If you have Wall-nut repairs, just keep planting wall-nuts over the previous wall-nut, and don't have anything try to kill the zombie. Then plant lots of marigolds and a gold magnet-shroom, and voila! A bit of maintenance, but it's worth it. :)

Great game. If you're unsure of whether to get this game or not, my recent review of this game just got submitted into TouchArcade forums. Check it out, link's in my signature! :)

You'll see once you beat the game.

If anyone is still doubting about getting this game... don't do it, just grab the game and start playing, it's not just like any other TD game, it's way better, and the Ending is Epic.
