iPad Plants vs Zombies (by Popcap Games)

I dont like tower defence games but i am realy enjoying this.

 

I reckon that the additional modes are being implemented step by step via DLC over time. Why do you think the game starts off at just 2,99$? That's WAY cheaper than any other version of PvZ.

 

Forget about an update. PopCap only give promises - but they don't deliver. See Peggle.

 

But look at bejeweled. They updated it have bejeweled blitz did they not.

First thing I did, quite humourous.

On the other hand, where is the Almanac so I can read about all the info on the plants and zombies?

If it's not in there somewhere, then this is a massive fail.

But, I got a feeling it turns up after so many levels. I've done the first 10 and it's not there though.

How does the game handle exits (phone call, pressing the home button, etc.)?

This looks like at perfect "pick up and play" game, but i need to be able to exit and return quickly if it's going to be any fun on my daily commute

 

this game is on my "definitely buy-it list" but i think i will wate how the game develops (Sales,updates etc)

 

I had my clock set and when that rang I had to restart the level. Was a bit annoying.

 

just got it and i love it! it's a shame you cant play the minigames separately though.
also the lack of survival is a big shame for me, as that's one of the main reasons that bloons TD is the only tower defense that has stayed on my ipod. of course, the priginal charm and polish is helpful, and plants vs zombies has that!

 

Does anyone know how many levels there are in the Adventure?

I am on 2-1, and I am just curious how much more there is.

There are 50 levels. 5 worlds with 10 levels each.

 

Love this game like any other popcap game!

There is so much to unlock in this game with new plants on every level in the adventure mode.

I just start 3-1 and it's brilliant, the variety in zombies and plants makes the game fresh and new each time you play the next level.

A must have a for any popcap fan, now all I want is Rocket Mania

Loved the MAC version and more than happy to pay for £1.79 for a portable version!

 

That's a shame

Apple should really implement some sort of universal "save state" mechanism that developers could tap into.

If all apps just re-loaded right back to where you left off they would probably also get a lot less complains about the lack of multitasking.

Gotta love Popcap and their sense of humor.

Love the achievements section and also the Help section. Hahaha. Had me cracking up.

But I agree, the game needs more modes and also an almanac. It's hard to keep up with all the different plants and zombies sometimes. Hmm, I hope they do update the game with additional content soon. And not just some crappy bug fixes, performance issues, etc.

 

They do have an almanac, which is later unlocked during adventure mode

 

I bought this one the MOMENT it was available to me. I refreshed my itunes several times after 11PM (East coast) last night.

What a great little game! Doesn't feel as much like a TD as a Castle Defender (CD?). I can't believe how many seed types there are. I don't care about added content. This is a great deal for $3. DLC would just be a bonus.

 

Can anyone please tell me if zen garden is in the iPhone version?
