Look! I checked out this webpage: http://www.slidetoplay.com/story/plants-vs-zombies-review and it says "With a lengthy adventure mode, plus an unlockable quickplay mode, minigames, bonus items, and achievements, Plants vs Zombies offers an excellent value for the low price. We would like to see an endless survival mode or some form of online high scores, but the current package will entertain you for a long time." So yes to minigames?! But no to survival...
Trust me it will. Mine handles it fine. It gets a little choppy when a lot of $h1t is going on the screen.
To clarify, it has mini games, but only the mini games between stages. There's no specific mini game mode aside from doing quick play then selecting the level.
I hope somebody will explain it how exactly it is with the minigames and survival. I was looking forward to this game so much but without these modes it is a 'no' for me. The story mode is just too easy to beat, no challenge at all, considering how much I played it on PC already... EDIT: Thx, Hodapp.
Okay, thanks. Now that I think about it, this game would rock on the iPad. Even if it wasn't natively ported.
Yeah the "subscription" doesn't cost any extra. It just charges you 6.99 per month until you cancel. For that 6.99 you get a credit for one game per month. When you subscribe you get your first credit instantly. Then you use that game credit to purchase a game (Plants vs Zombies in this case). Then you can cancel your membership online if you don't want it to continue next month. It used to be you were locked into a membership for a certain number of months but they changed it so you can cancel anytime with no commitment requirements. Hope this helps!
Freakin yes! I'm so glad this came out. I can finally end my 60some day streak of not buying any iPhone games.
Darn, PvZ is starting to lag (just a bit) and I'm not even done the first world. Looks like it's time to get a new iPod Touch.
Didn't see this asked in the 24 pages so far. If anyone has beaten the game yet, is there the 2nd playthrough with the "additional difficulty" (don't want to spoil it and can't find a way to clarify it more without giving it away) that makes the game relatively harder? This was in the computer version, but seeing as how this isn't a direct port of the entire game...
