Well, it's already a full game, but the important thing here is that none of the IAP plants has its own unique ability that isn't covered by another existing plant or game system. Any challenge that would call for the mechanism employed by a particular IAP plant can be (and already has been) implemented.

For example, a challenge level based on the Power Lily would necessarily be designed and balanced around the plant food provided by its very slow recharge time. The game already replicates such a potential challenge level using two methods: in one case by spacing out the scripted super zombies so that their appearance (and by extension, the frequency of plant food) is scheduled and predictable, and in the other case by giving you a set amount of plant food at the outset and not dropping any in the level itself.

Likewise, challenge levels that emphasise slowing zombies and putting out fires with cold-based plants already exist, and are covered by the free Winter Melon; a level that specifically required Snow Peas wouldn't play out in any significantly different way. Challenge levels for the single-use instant-kill IAP plants wouldn't be fundamentally different to the existing challenge levels for the single-use instant-kill free plants.

I've been getting keys pretty consistently. In fact, before I finished all of Pirate Seas (and without replaying any challenge I'd already completed), I had eight leftover keys. Simply finishing the main path of a world isn't a "playthrough", it's just completing that world's introduction/tutorial: the star challenges and side-paths are the core content of the game, not just obstacles to progression.

You can get keys and money from the endless Challenge Zones, and each one is tied directly to a GC leaderboard, but for most people just seeing how high they can climb with their personal choice of plant progression would be enough. There doesn't need to be some kind of specific major reward tacked on to everything in an attempt to push you into doing something you're not really interested in; I'm not sure what more you expect the game to do to win you over in this regard.

No, PopCap designed the game around a progression system that you just personally don't like, which isn't the same thing. I don't know what you really expect them to do with that feedback. I do agree that they could look into adding the ability to cash in excess keys, given that there's nothing else you can do with them once you've unlocked all of the gates in a world.

Well put, I think this is a key point in the PvZ2 free-to-play debate. I keep reading that playing the star challenges equates to grinding, which to me, couldn't be further from the truth. Each star challenge is a level in itself, you're not replaying a level you already beat to earn in-game currency. This grinding complaint is really, well, grinding on me.

I'm sorry, Lord Appletini. I'll just delete my forum account and throw away my IOS devices. You clearly are the god of this land and no one else deserves an opinion. I submit myself to your infinite wisdom.

If you take issue with the points I've raised, I welcome you to address them directly. If you can't do that, at least have the dignity not to act like a child.

If u guys were to vote for your fav zombies what would they be?

I got to give chicken zombie the cutest and most adorable title...
The most annoying zombie would be the parrot zombie

The piano zombie is kinda annoying but I love killing it...

    What say you guys

I'd think most people would choose the yeti 'cause of the lunchbox, but that's a bit too easy. The cannon and piano resonate for me as having more personality than most of the others.

Actually, I've found her posts helpful, she's been a virtual encyclopedia when it comes to PvZ2. In all seriousness, I'd like to propose the Apple Tree as a new "plant" in the upcoming additions to PvZ2. It would shoot appleseeds at zombies that, when hit, would make their heads literally explode with knowledge.

What? I thought apple was a bloke!!!
I think apple as a new type of zombie boss would be better.. A tough zombie that requires the entire touch arcade community to strategise to defeat it..and even when defeated it will respawn!!! That's scary eh?

    Just kidding...

    Lost game

Anyone else loss thier game save data? I went to log in and play and I was back to the beginning. I was almost done with the second map. The only thing I can think of is that I started it up on my phone once a few days ago and that somehow overwrote my pad save today? Oh, well. I did not pay for the game so I guess I got what I payed for.

    Hey AndySmash

I'm with you on being allowed to have your own opinion but Appletini seems to believe he has all the answers.

For the record, I've had posts deleted and an inbox message from admin saying leave Appletini alone!

lol if he/she wants to be right, leave it there

Why would you post on a forum, and then take exception to someone replying to your post? Having someone respond to something you say doesn’t negate the opportunity to express a personal opinion; it simply offers a counter-opinion and at times a clarification of things that may be incorrect/misunderstood. Isn’t that the entire point of forums, to have discussions?

i have tested extensively the sync part and to be frank understand how it works.. I got to say it's rather dodgy.. The sync doesn't work perfectly but not to the extend of overwriting your save. My gripe is it doesn't sync fast enough like say for example war hammer.. Which works flawlessly.

100% agree with that. Actually, it's much more fun when someone disagrees with your point of view; people always agreeing with each others point of view makes a very boring debate. Although, as we all know, sometimes debate degrades into trading insults on the forums.

    Nope. ^_^

For the record, I don't recall reporting any of your posts in this thread and have no power to remove them anyway, so if they were deleted by a moderator it was because you posted something that actually broke the rules of this site, not just disagreed with something I'd written. The only forum posts I report (apart from spam) are openly abusive and unproductive ones that are clearly just trying to stir up trouble, much as I report people who have decided that they don't want to act like mature adults and start sending personal attacks via private message. A couple of people have earned themselves enforced vacations intended to give them time to figure out how to behave in polite society, but I have no input in such matters.

If you disagree with something I've stated, address it directly as I've already asked and I'll reply in kind. All this continued passive-aggressive posturing and childish sniping is only going to come back to bite you in the proverbial, especially if you've already been told by a moderator to knock it off as you claim.

Posts were reported so I acted. Name calling will result in posts getting deleted. I don't agree with everything certain users say but I don't resort to name calling comments which elong on kindergarten.

Disagree and discuss. But stop any name calling. People are getting bored with the bickering. Keep it on topic or posts will get deleted

I said 'Please cut out the name calling to Appletini. Disagree about iaps but cut out any name calling please

    Thanks'

Again you can discuss/disagree about thing in the game such as IAPs but cut out any stupid name calling

I'd like to report metalcasket for calling me a cow. A few months ago. Or it might have been a dairy farmer. In any case, it was milk-related and completely inappropriate. Thank you.

Okay. Back to the actual game..... I wonder how the super duper cheat power ups will work on non touch versions, you can't exactly pinch with a mouse.
