Can someone tell me what's the best way to solve this without cheating? Meaning no using gold coins to buy power food or chain lighting etc.. I can't pass this without cheating but I know u guys can do it!!! This is the 1st last stand.. Ironically the 2nd and 3rd are so simple.. Duh..
In my son's iPad 4, that is not in English, I was able to fix the crashes by reinstalling the game, disable "Share usage data" in game Options and log out from Facebook.
Talking about melons how do I unlock the normal melons? I do see thatin some levels given by the level but can't unlock it?
Place double sunflower, place mine for 1st zombie, place 2nd double sunflower, place 2nd mine for 2nd zombie, use the freeze plant to delay zombies while your 2 double sunflowers rack up loads of sun, use the corn/butter throwing plant to slow zombies...unbeatable, but boring. No there are spare slots for other offensive plants, personally I prefer the melee plant placed behind the potato plant
Has anyone even came across a hard level? I mean so hard you might have to look online for a solution ala Fieldrunners 2? That's what I loved about that game, whereas this one seems to lack any challenge at all, like they dumbed it down for the mainstream, sure its fun but I would have gotten more fun and satisfaction from solving a particularly testing level that I may have had to restart several times but as it stands it seems a bit too easy, even most of the challenge modes where you can't plant on the back 2 rows, I just use the same above tactic but a bit further forward.
Did you play the first game? The first game made PopCap and, later, EA, millions in profits over several years and was, maybe, a third of the challenge of this game when comparing the hardest parts. As it is, in spite of all their attempts to avoid it, they're going to have plenty of people complaining they made the game much harder to encourage IAP even though it's unclear where any of the IAP would actually be a magic bullet for any of the challenges I found puzzling. They didn't dumb this one down for the mainstream, they smartened it up considerably for a more gamer appeal... that they didn't go far enough for you is a matter of taste.
Used plants you can get early in game, you just need to use plant food on your corn to stop parrots taking stuff.
I really hope I'm wrong but it's hard to release my skepticism when it comes to EA. I feel as though this game is being released in this manner to get oodles of positive reviews and happiness ... only to enforce more and more typical F2P walls in later releases. They have done that with RR3, including the latest release that finally killed it for me. I'm definitely in for this game and am willing to spend some $ to support the devs ... but if it migrates to RR3, I'm out.
While I am still enjoying the game I think I would've liked more "normal" stages and less of the gimmick ones. As far as the extra challenges go, getting 3 stars on those stages is fun, and being forced to play in those specific rules is interesting. But the "use cannons to shoot down birds" and "play a memory matching games" stages are just annoying.
I hear you, although the Memory Stages are at least challenging. Being forced to shoot down birds with cannons is a bore though. Regarding IAP, as none intrusive as it is, I still think Plants Vs. Zombies 2 would be a better game without it. As it is now, they have locked 6 Plants behind a paywall. With a full game, they could have designed stages and challenges for these 6 specific plants as well, instead of making all stages solvable with the other 26 plants.
I really liked the way I went through the first set of levels, but I never got a key once during my first playthrough. If I hadn't stuck with it till I beat the last Egypt level to open up the 3 Star challenges I would've assumed I had to buy keys to get those. That was a letdown. It was only when I did my first 3 Star level that I got a key and realized those could be found. But then when I discovered the keys are specific per level? That was a letdown. And then discovering that the levels behind the key gates were mostly these lame gimmick levels and not ones specific to say, using the plant I just earned? Another let down! I can beat the whole game without using any money, I'm sure, but man, it is constantly letting me down. Oh, and you get nothing out of the endless challenges other then bragging rights, huh? Another letdown. They made the game centered around an unlocking progression that is annoying, sometimes frustrating, often annoying and overall not fulfilling.
That's strange... I'm pretty sure they force a few keys on you for tutorial purposes if I remember correctly, plus your results are not typical, I got plenty of keys, and in fact now I have a whole bunch of extra keys that we need a way to use or trade in or something.
I also have extra keys. They come randomly, so if you don't find any, it's pure luck. For what it's worth, I've found a lot of keys in the endless levels.
Oh, I certainly have plenty of keys NOW. Just not in the first play through. I've got 15 worthless Pyramid keys. They should just stop dropping them and give me coins or something instead.
