Thanks for the input guys. Weird that you had different experiences. I wonder what would happen if I just update. Since the update would be through the US store, I wonder if I'd then end up with the US version of the game? Either way, I'll be doing something with it later tonight to get the US version.
I don't know how this game works via iCloud.. If u see the SS of my other games they make sense.. This doesn't!
Great game and its free to boot. Don't pay attention to the haters this deserves to be on everyone's device. IAP is totally optional. Just as good if not better than the original.
Did the IAP plant prices change? I could've sworn they were all the same price before and now some are more expensive than others? I can't remember clearly but does anyone else remember the old prices?
Yea they were all $3 before.same with the upgrades.and now 2 upgrades and 2 plants are $4 not much of a change
I just finished level 10 of Egypt and I've gotten three keys so far. I'm not sure if replaying the levels will continue to produce keys.
I was worried about the same thing, but after you beat 11, you have the option to play the earlier levels again for more stars (with different objectives so it doesn't feel like the same level over and over). And then I earned 3 keys within 2 levels. So, it's all good.
I've got to say that I'm surprised by this one, I was expecting more free-to-play junk by EA, but this definitely feels like a PopCap game. The IAP is completely optional, I'm even considering buying the Snow Pea as a 'thank you' and because I want it. But the point is, I don't need it. Nice job on the the freemium elements, though a premium release would still have been my preference.
The paywall plants annoys me because I want all the plants! Where are the plants that you had in PvZ which required you to plant 1 plant first and then you could plant ontop of that one? Such as the ice watermelon... Also there is no zen garden or crazy daves shop for random upgrades like being able to plant a wallnut over a half eaten one... Sucks they left all of that cool stuff out in facor of new cool stuff. They could have combined those things. I really liked zen garden and the achievement page.
Hi there The original PVZ only got most of the extra content in later updates. I'm pretty certain that PopCap will add content as time goes on. There's also a 4th, coming soon level. Pretty certain there will be plants etc there too #

The new Pea Pod plant works that way; you can upgrade it by planting it on top of itself up to four times for a maximum of five peas in one space. The "upgrade" plants from the original PvZ are now separate plants of their own, and the upgraded modes of fire have been replaced by the new plant food feature that gives every plant in the game a powerful alternate attack. That repair upgrade (Wall-nut First Aid) already exists in the game, and can be unlocked in the third world. The reason there's no in-game shop in which you can buy upgrades is because in PvZ2 they're unlocked through normal play.
Hi, is there a way to play this game in an iPad first generation? Is the camera really necessary? Thanks.
It's not really required, but it is an effective way developers can limit the devices the game can be downloaded onto as Apple doesn't have a system to do so. The iPad probably doesn't have enough memory for the game which causes issues.
The more I play, the more impressed I am by the thought that went into the free-to-play design of PvZ2. I am not a fan of FTP games, which are usually nothing more then a poorly disguised cash grab. This is not that kind of game, there is no paywall. The IAP is purely for skipping ahead (cheating), coins (which you'll earn plenty of in-game, think of the gems in Kingdom Rush), and extra content. This is easily the best 'freemium' game I've tried, it's basically a premium game in disguise.
I think i would had prefered to have it paid so i dont spend soo much on its in app buys, but it worth it 10$ i already spent I think
