There are 32 plants in the game, six of them you can buy for 2.99 NZ Dollars and two other upgrades are on sale for real money, too. I don't know yet, how important the plants for gameplay are, but maybe you can do easily without them. So far it's interesting....
I'm still waiting for the devs to update PvZ to support iPhone 5 widescreen Plus I still need to play the first game. I've just played a few levels lol
plants vs zombies was the best tower defense game I played. I had a blast playing. I will definitely download this, once it hits the US store.
Tried to install the game with my NZ itunes account. Changed region settings and time. App crashes on launch...
No. It'll probably be out in a week or 2. I forget how it worked for RR3 but it was something like that. It was originally set to be released tomorrow in the US but got delayed.
This sucks, both torthwood and chile are 2.99 each. Two of my favorite plants. Also the squash, snow pea, power lily and imitator are 2.99.
I love PvZ, I paid full price for it and it was worth every penny but this sucks. Soft launch? more like 'taking the **** launch' I suppose its no loss though, now they've EA'd the game and made it into freemium crap.
why not just sell the game for $4.99 and call it a day. so sick of freemium. Flight Control was RUINED by freemium.
Hopefully they only cost real money for impatient people. I am hoping that you will be able to unlock those plants legitimately by just playing the game.
To be honest, I doesn't look like you can unlock them by playing. But maybe they tweak the game for the release
Another great game ruined by going to Freemium . I hope the tweaking is improved when the official release date hits. Guess its true, EA is and will earn the coveted "hated company" in 2013...
Probably because they have a market research team and know that only about 5% of gamers (at most) who complain about freemium titles actually buy premium priced games...
er.....it might not be that bad free-to-play model isn't something that's easy to do with a game like Plants vs. Zombies, according to Murray, because its appeal covers such a wide audience from casual to hardcore and everyone in-between. Murray says "Our philosophy is to not be heavy-handed and very soft in our approach. Anyone with enough time and skill can unlock all content."
Ugh, one of my bigger ios secrets is that I really didn't care for PvZ. It just bored me and I stopped playing part way through, and I'm a pretty big TD fan. Even if this new one wasn't a freemium cash grab piece of garbage I'd prob skip it. Just for whatever reason, this is just one of those dif strokes for dif folks scenarios.
