Ok, my take on this subject: 1. This is a soft release, who knows what the official release build will bring. 2. If I remember correctly, the Zen Garden was added in a later version of the original PvZ. The game's secrets will be revealed... IT'S A MATTER OF TIME!!! ◀ you see what I did there!? #
Don't think anyone else has said it yet - but the writing is not up to the standard of the first game. In PvZ1 every Crazy Dave interjection and every piece of flavour text in the Almanac was a miniature work of comic genius. Now it's just... meh.
I agree. The almanac was AMAZING in the first. The new one is pretty meh. Haven't even found a cool entry I like.
Quick question guys. Since most of us downloaded PvZ 2 from another AppStore, in the future if there was an update for the app, 1. would the update number appear on your appstore icon and 2. what would be the process to update it since its from a different store? I'm only asking because if its a lengthy process I'd rather wait for the official release than replay everything again.
1. Yes it will. 2. Depends on your iOS version. It will either a)ask you to change regions first, in which case you will have to logout of itunes, and login with the correct username and password for the correct region, then proceed to updating; or b) it will tell you that the game is not in the local appstore and will ask for your username and password on the correct region. ... Since the game is free, if you download the game via a computer, you can update your NZ game INTO your local region version when you sync your idevice, provided the local region version is an UPDATE to the current one in your idevice. In this case, you update the game into the latest version, and change it to your local version, and at the same time keep your save files intact. Hope that helps.
Once the game is officially released I'm just gonna copy my current game save over to the pvz2 app from my region AppStore using ifunbox.
Problem is direct file transfer doesnt always move your save files completely. EPOCH is one of them. Even if you transferred all files correctly, it wont let me change equips at all. Im pretty sure the final international release version will be an update compared to what we have fron the NZ release. Instead of updating the NZ app, download your local region version into a computer through itunes, and sync your device with the un-updated NZ copy.
Hi I got lucky my friend gifted me the app and since its free It was easy to get. so far it seems neat I haven't had issues I am one that hates F2P especially when EA took over this game... I am very happy it's playable offline. I can say this is the very first F2P EA game I actually enjoy they really mixed it up well different elements etc. I have only had it for a day so I guess my opinion may change later on but It's a must get. It's free just keep the no pay in your mind and your good the paying option just seems to be there if your a rush through games person. The way it's looking if you don't pay it's a long road to beating the game which to me is good.. I beat ipad PVZ HD in 1 week on easy there's still much to do but having this new one also is really neat!
It was also a massive commercial success, according to Firemonkeys, and has supposedly a large number of active players. We tend to forget that the vocality of hardcore TA forumites might not be representative of the target audience of a product, or of the market as a whole. My guess would be that in spite of all the negative sentiments in these forums, many f2p sequels probably do quite well (just like many f2p titles in general tend to do well in spite of the pulsating waves of hyperhate that color their forum threads).
Can someone please explain what is the purpose of goal of the Pyramid of Doom? I am guessing it is an endless level, but why is it there? Completing a level gives you nothing but cash, but this is obviously not a cash pit, since you will always be outgunned eventually the more you play. Is there an "end" to this "endless" level (pardon the pun)?
Keys and Diamonds IMHO. Got 2 keys and 1 Diamond from the first two levels. There's also the fact your plant food carries over to the next level plus there's a plant card lottery between each stage.
