Ok sent you a "sendSaves" It would not let me use a underscore to add my name. There was no volcano event in this game. There has been two corruption events however (2 tiles then 3 tiles) however they were a number of turns ago. Next time I start a game I will make notes as I play it to collect more accurate data for you. I LOVE THIS GAME.
@doomtrader: Forgot that earlier: I saw a bunch of Volcanoes (those big black mountains) on the map, in the game where the Node counter detached a few times. But I did not get an event notification - you mean the one that says something like "Volcano appeared somewhere in the world", right? I'll send my savegames later today - got a bunch of other stuff to report - then you can check for that, too.
Bunch of issues to report @doomtrader: I just sent you my savefiles, and the iOS crashlogs via email. Issues I currently have: 1) Icons detaching: I don't have one ready for you to try, so you'll need some manual work: Pick any of the "Drac Summon" savegames, conquer a Node and send a Spirit to take it. When the counter is showing, save and reload. It should be detached then, flying over the map somewhere else. When you scroll the map near the Node, it attaches again and goes back to normal. 2) Fight against Weavers always hangs when I win: Load the save "Drac Example" and finish the turn. One Elven town should get attacked by a bunch of enemy Weavers. No problem to win the fight, e.g. by summoning a few Phantom Beasts. When you kill the last Weaver, the fight should hang and not recover. Autoresolve is not possible anymore, only exit to main menu works. 3) Fight against Weavers - Autoresolve is off the whack: Load the save "Drac Example" and finish the turn. One Elven town should get attacked by a bunch of enemy Weavers. Summon a few Phantom Beasts or whatever suits your fancy, and beat them down to a single Weaver. Then, hit autoresolve. Note that the one remaining Weaver kills my whole army. No way that's going to happen. Even without the combat Summons, the remaining Archers and Druids should be enough to kill the Weaver in melee. With 2-3 Phantom Beasts in the battle as well, that result is a joke. I wonder if autoresolve a) values the Weavers so highly that it assumes a single one can kill 10+ Archers and Druids. b) takes summoned creatures into account. c) takes into account that the Weaver is out of Mana and low on HP. 4) Drac game crashes a lot now: Load any of the recent "Drac Summon" or the "Drac Example" save. If it doesn't crash right away, play a few turns until it does: - Quite often it crashes when I hit "Autodeploy" at the start of a battle. - Quite often it crashes after I won a battle manually. - Sometimes it crashes right after loading a save. - Often it crashes for a random action, e.g. opening my spellbook, accessing a town, moving a unit. I suspect the crashes are caused by the high number of garrison units I have now. Before I started increasing those from ~8 units on average to 12-16 everywhere, things worked fine. Not 100% sure, but I have the impression that the number of crashes increased with the number of garrison units. Easy way to test: Dismiss all garrison units, lower Taxes to 1 or so, and keep the game running for maybe 10 turns. If it doesn't crash, good chance it's the garrisons causing it.
Thanks for all the save games and I'm really sorry for any issues you have got when playing the game. I'm pretty convenient that you can expect the patch in second half of January. We will do our best to keep PC/Mac on the same page as iOS and Android. I'm also hoping to release Linux in late January, and most probably XBOX ONE will also be released in January/February.
Great... very great to see youre starting to take good care of the game again, thank you for that, my love and faith in PQ is officially restored #
Don't forget the increased zoom you promised! Ok, so you didn't quite promise but it was as good as in my mind! # Look forward to seeing the new update in late Jan.
I'm looking forward this update too. There is a lot of love for this game in us, but the time we can put into the development is quite limited ATM.
Just an update it seems it was a moment of super noob syndrome. I wasn't tapping the unit icon after selecting the unit. Doh. Cheers for the support and patience lolz. Will probably be back with more. And yea I'll drop any comments. Only like 50 turns into the summoner build.
Playing the unhallowed it possible to recuit a non-hero unit. 1 Go to an inn. Normally you would only see heros and equipment. 2 buying the cheapest item. 3 the contents of the inn changes to showing the units (not undead) as well as heros and an item. 4 purchase a units. This only works once for each inn per inn cycle time.
Oh, that still works I can't remember if that was supposed to be changed in an earlier version already; same goes for hiring Living units in an Inn. Other than that, what do you think about the Undead as a faction? And I'm curious if you went all-Death or picked different schools.
Death mastery, one life, cartography, mentor and warlord. Ascetic and tyrant. All planes but shadow. Starting hero Cirrym and hired Aledar at inn around turn 8. Build straight four straight mana rings using mana gather by my 4 magic spirits. Dropped Cirrym around turn 40. All undead heros now but Aledar my favourite hero. Never get anywhere playing undead on shadow plane above mageling. Undead should not be able to hire non heros at inn. Mixing undead with living is to easy.
@Nina: Interesting. I find Undead Death Mastery one of the easiest to play and win, especially when starting on the Shadowplane. And I always play on Archmage difficulty. I'm honestly curious now, could you elaborate on what's causing you problems? Personally, I find it best to get an early army of my starting units with added Skele Archers. And then just skip almost every other unit (the scythe guys are optional in between), and go straight for Lancers. A fullstack of those stays strong at least till turn 100, and by that time you should be cranking out Deathknights a dime a dozen.
Just bought the game and am already too intimidated by it. Lol I wish I was better on these kind of games, since it seems so cool.
@Dankrio: no need to be intimidated while there is a lot of stuff to take in, learning the basics is quite easy. For learning the ropes, Grey Elves and a Life Mage are the best I think. Or just pick whichever of the premade Lords suits your fancy, and see if you like the Magic School's style. As always: if you have questions, ask away.
