Color me stupid but I just realized I can restore a save game if I make a dumb face boo-boo, instead of go through the whole game set up again. Wheeee, I'm smart.
Alot of folks save their game before attacking something, you can use the save as a 'restore point' and replay from there Normally, i save right before turn 1, so I can play several games with the same setup
I did the same. If you're playing a specific build type, it makes sense as opposed to re-rolling several times. I would name my save dependent on the world I created, for example 4opponents2planes or 8opponents8planes, etc. So whenever I wanted to play that type of game it was ready to go
I read some early reviews that mentioned that this game was unpolished with UI problems. How is this game now that it has been patched more than a few times?
It has a chance of appearing in your list of spells to research when you've already completed study of most of your spells.
Missing XP? Couple of points about what I believe to be bugs: 1). I had an army of heroes, mages and Rangers (elves). All the mages were up to Lvl 7-8, when suddenly, one turn, I noted that they were all back to Lvl 4 (5 for the heroes), and they can't seem to accrue XP any more. I was around turn 90 when this happened. I went back a few saves to where I KNOW they had lots of XP, and the XP and levels were gone as well. 2). Constant stomping sound from that one hero - already noted 3). Can't cast guiding wind on Aquestrielle (seems to become a pin cushion at the beginning of every battle) Update: seems that if I move Aquestrielle to the top of the stack by "splitting" her out, then merging the army into her, I can then cast "guardian wind" on her. 4). Can't "auto resolve" battles after "commanding" an enemy unit, and then "escaping" all my indigenous forces. Playing on an iPad Air II with latest updates.
On point 3 that is super annoying and I have the same bug with multiple heroes. Also, if you have 2 heroes together and try to cast a buff that one already has, you have to split them out.
Stacking Buffs? Do crafting buffs like "Evoker" (10% to spell damage) stack? If I have it on a ring, is there a point to having it on a cloak, or choosing it as a leveling skill? If it does stack, is it additive or multiplicative?
Little question @doomtrader or edwin, is the next update coming along nicely ? And will it fix the two following things : Be able to change the animation speeds in the settings The "boost" issue where boost seems to stay in memory making each subsequent boost to deal way more damage than it should Thanks for answering ! Sorry if ive been bothering with this its just that i was under the impression the update was coming this week
Thanks, Edwin. Finally found the spell of domination and finished my first game. A couple of matters arising- - what does the little blue line represent, on the left side, during a battle, underneath the green HP line? - what is the point of City walls? Whenever I've been in battle against an opponent with these, and been unable to jump or fire over the wall, I've simple amassed my troups around the gate and waited for the enemy to stroll through. I then pick them off one by one. Do you ever reach stalemate, when the enemy simply stays within its walls? Thanks again, CJ
Are you talking about the XP bars? After the battle, you see all unit alive and dead with their health bar and a light blue bar underneath. The light blue is XP. Regular units can level up 5 time and heroes can level up 10 times I believe. Edit: or that could be the amount of mana that the unit has. Can't be 100% without seeing it. Also, what difficulty are you playing at? I have been playing at the second lowest level to beat it with every race so the AI isn't smart. I've had enemies flee after destroying some of their units even though they could have won. The Dev said the enemy got scared. I guess the enemy may be more strategic at higher difficulties, but you'll have to ask someone who has played it at a higher difficulty.
