The "Complete Pack" was a rename by the dev based on player feedback. It contains all of the currently available options/DLC. There are no announced plans for additional DLC (depends on the game sales, honestly), but future DLC's should not be expected to be free to purchasers of the Complete Pack. So no.
Sorry to hear. I do know they posted last weekend that they were delaying an expected Monday update because they found some AI related bugs (which seems to be the cause of late game bugs); I'm anticipating that when they do this next release, problems like yours would be fixed. Due to the complexity of the game (and being a programmer), I guess I'm patient with the process, as long as I feel the devs are working toward solutions (and they are).
And I Am sensitive to the timeliness of resolutions and updates, however, I feel I spent 50 bucks on a beta, you know what I mean? If your game is riddled with bugs, particularly late game, hold back the release untilthey are resolved. Either way, was fun (sorta) while it lasted.
Yep, not even trying to change your mind. Given the game complexities, with a 7 plane 7 sorcerer evironment (or similar), 100+ turn, specific race, specific build, specific hero, etc... Certain things are going to fall off the rails. Quite certain they are memory management related, and the dev or their xyz vendor has to be more memory sensitive to boundaries. it is quite the complex game, something many have tried before, but am willing to invest to help the dev to get to ground zero (which, they already are). And acknowledge that they have to solve some amplified equations that befuddle long, complex games.
Agree. I purchased and have played 2 games - due to lack of time. Do not regret would buy again. Excited to see the leaps and bounds the dev has made since day 0
I prefer a complex game with a few bugs (that the dev is working to fix) than a simple game. I guess I am lucky that I like to play against 2-3 enemies on 2-3 planes.
Noob questions. I am slowly making progress here and have studied Nullzone's strategy and some Youtubes. I am a bit thick though, so bear with me. I followed Nullzone's introduction and ended up with a game where I have a reasonable army, wandering round and winning some, but not all battles. A few questions. I don't need huge detail, just some guidance, if that's all right. How do you finish a game? Is it by taking over all the other cities? If so, do you have to defeat the army in each? A brief list of worthwhile buildings, in order of build would help me. (I've looked at WoM too, for this). My Magic Spirits don't seem to auto-scout when I tap the little footprints icon. They just sit there looking at me. Is this right? Thanks, CJ. PS for those wondering whether to dip into this game, I have not noticed any bugs at all so far, and it has kept me occupied for hours, just scratching the surface. Worth every penny.
You research and cast the spell on domination OR you kill the opposition. When you kill the city that an enemy sorcerer is in he/she will be banished. If they cast the spell of return, they can obviously return to the game, however, if they run out of mana before casting the spell of return OR you destroy all of their towns, they die forever. Enemies with a gray flag are "neutrals" and you don't have to kill them to win. As for buildings, they vary based on your play style and faction and how far into the game you are. I typically prioritized buildings that add gold or production but that was because I play a super hero build and need money to turn into mana to get myself going. As for not noticing any bugs... The magic Sprite issue is a bug. : )
I don't know if this is a bug or just something unique to the shadow plane. I have my units in a city in the shadow plane (main plane is paradise) and I set them to heal but the don't at all. Is there something unique to the shadow plane with healing our is it a bug I'll have to send in?
I am not dead just been pretty ill over the last 2 weeks (influenza really is no joke when it hits you hard), and switched to read-only mode. Anyways, here we are again. I noticed that on one of my first Undead games, too. Afaik it is not a bug, but intentional - and a nice detail. Living units indeed do not heal on the Shadow Plane. What I do not know: 1) If this is an effect of the Plane itself. Or if it's caused by being on corrupted ground. 2) If it also happens when you play a living race (any non-Unhallowed), and start out on the Shadow Plane. If you want to be 100% sure, best ask on Wastelands forums as well, just in case they miss it here.
This isn't a bug. There is a post a few pages back... In order for auto-scouting to work, none of your armies, cities, research can be idle. The next turn button will be in the shape of an hourglass. If an icon of something else is there, then something is currently idle, and the auto-scout will not work. This isn't listed or clearly explained in the current manual, but I imagine it will be updated in the next rev.
I'm aware of that issue... But still, I struggles with the sprites. I would summon up 9 magic Spirits and send them off without issue but Sprites always gave me an issue. Oh well, must just be me.
Ah, my bad. I'm wondering if it with any other type of army or conjured spirit? I'll have to tinker around and try to send a save game to get it fixed. I'll let you know what I find...
MAN, this game is hard, even for a veteran 4Xer. Wow. I followed a build from the strategy thread and all, didn't last even to turn 100. At this point I'm only still working at it because I spent so much money (relatively speaking) on it. Frustrating.
Hello and welcome, first of all. Which difficulty did you play on? And which build from the strategies did you use? If you give a bit more details, like what your biggest problems were, I am sure we can give you a push in the right direction.
