100% agree - NAZG is BS! From what James has hinted - there may or may not be a special combo / starting location / sequence to get this achievement - but either way, it's extremely difficult in brutal mode and he said he might make it easier in next version. Therefore - it still consists of elements of race against time - so you can't just pick the correct sequence and boom - world dead - you still have to get all infected, stay undetected, bump up lethality, kill em all before full cure. And I can tell you this - hack the game for infinite DNA - and you can not accomplish NAZG - no f'ing way. Have tried numerous ways countless times - full symptoms except CT (and made CT devolveable) and still can't kill them all before cure. Without changing cure req / research ineffec. - can not be done just by playing the game with perfect strategy. Acute Ency. has 1 severity but 13 leathality - tried just this symptom alone to no avail - as soon as they start dying they start curing. I'm thinking either he has another version which something is tweaked differently and he hasn't even realized it (hopefully, unless he is messing with us). Or, it's some nonsense needle in a haystack; i.e. some impossible to guess sequence. (Start in XXX country, evolve YYY & ZZZ, but de-evolve AAA & BBB; and do this only when QQQ amount are infected; etc.) If people can not figure this out with infinite DNA - how da F ya supposed to do it at all. [Don't get me wrong - I love this game & the challenge of it - the only reason I even hacked and poked around, is bc was so interested in the inner-workings of the game]
Another failed NAZG The idea was to find a clue in the text, but it is very clear. The are no starting country or evolve hints in the text. So what about the Acronym NAZG. The only symptom, ability or trans bringing with N is Naja Mortis which is past CR and therefore involves zombies. What about country. NA = North America perhaps, what do the Z (zoonotic) and G (gastro or gene hard) N = Norway, with A standing for Air 1 or 2 or acute .... or autophagia. Z and G as above NZ = New Zealand, again A for air 1 or 2, G (gastro or gene hard) Tried all these combos = nothing, zip, nada. Dead end If there is a breadcrumb anywhere it has to be before being noticed once you're on the cure clock, you're stuffed.
Necroa Insane Bolt Strategy Results will vary greatly from game to game, as country infection is variable, and once you go zombie you need to react to the zombie/human element. Start China Genes: CS, Suppression, dopamine, mimic, extreme evolve each item asap when u have DNA. follow the order within each line. 1. zoo, rat 2, bat 2, drug 1, saliva 1 to water 1, cold 2, heat 2 2. insomnia to delirium wait until only 3-5 uninfected countries remain (optional) 3. cytopath to peptide surge 4. horde instinct ability to infect non-infected countries 5. remaining lower right hand symptoms average around 350-400. best score is 334. can definitely be tweaked for improvement, I think sub 300 might be doable.
Has anyone seen the message about "pylons" being critical for high tech society? Mean anything in relation toNAZG?
iirc that's a "white" message which does not have an impact on gameplay. Based on everything we've tried and heard from James up to this point, I'm thinking it's not origin related, an it's not just a combo of symptoms/trans/abilities. I'm thinking some type of strategy that allows you start/stop cure research, like evolving certain symptoms but then devolving them. There must be a way to get the world to back off on cure research. It's probably something you have to do multiple times in the game, and it likely does not work every time, there will be some luck involved (which and how many countries fall into anarchy), which is part of what makes it difficult, not just discovering the method alone. Such a scenario as described above would fit the criteria for what we know about NAZG so far (no special messages, impossible on brutal, difficult on easy, requiring a specific strategy but does not always end in victory, would still result in narrow win and thus not impact normal zombie play, etc).
Some have "cheated", others given up. There should have been a clue by now from the sheer number of games people have played. It is the complete and total lack of any hints or clues that is so frustrating. I know James has said some will be forthcoming via an update, but the general community is desperately in need of a hint via a posting in this forum. Maybe the lack of one is payback for ripping through the origin achievements. I accept this isn't a democracy but it should be a partnership, with cooperation between the partners.
Stay strong Kayg! We'll figure it out. A couple avenues we can still explore that may yield results: 1) Testing whether there are any circumstances under which devolving symptoms/transmissions results in a reduction of cure speed or pause in cure research. 2) Testing the origin scenarios to ensure that in these cases the normal gameplay is not impacted once an origin scenario is triggered. Does the cure move more slowly in a darkwater/chernobyl/giza scenario? Probably not based on our understanding of how these achievements work, but might be worth investigating. Since we know it's not a matter of simply buying everything short of zombies, there must be some nuance we haven't found, I'm trying to think of any other type of general strategy that may impact cure/anarchy, and I keep coming back to the idea that it must be something related to research pace being triggered. Does backing off severity reduce cure speed? And then maybe kicking it back up doesn't result in similar increase? Can we even get a country to back off cure by devolving severity?
There is, sometimes, a message that pops up about water shortages causing problems, that, IIRC, is new since Necroa. If this has already been mentioned, sorry, I am working through the last two days of posts as quickly as I can. ETA: As an additional thought, has anyone explored (to any degree) the NAZM side? As in, which movie was first commonly titled a NAZM, what country it happened in, etc. While there's no feature-length film titled NAZM, there are a lot of indie and student project shorts named as such. Perhaps there's one in particular that might relate or be of use? Or perhaps one that by title is zombie-related, but in actuality, has nothing to do with zombies at all? EATA: This came up in search, but I'm not sure if it strictly would qualify: http://movies.amctv.com/movie-guide/best-movies-with-zombies-that-arent-zombies.php
I got the New Rounds of nuclear tests considered. Evolved coma, delirium, psychosis. I thought i could get them to kill themselves. Fail
As far as we know the only messages that can have a potential impact on gameplay have to be highlighted yellow or red when you hit the news button up top and view them in the list. If they are unhighlighted (just plain white), they are just there to make a joke, or to enhance the news flow feel of the game as time progresses.
I hate to interrupt the discussion of NAZG going on but I'm stuck on Russian nuke retaliation. Is it random between china and Russia threatened? Because I started in Russia, waited for POTUS ill message, put insanity and Spain got voted in, but then she threatened china instead of Russia. I then put paralysis and she nuked china. Is china and Russia threats random for either of them or did I do the Russian one wrong? Also, for the NAZG I wonder if there is a way to target scientists when you infect the general population.
