    I tried for the NAZG with zombies however at the end have all zombies die (again). Had the last pocket of resistance when all zombies died and got the message that virus fail.

    I still had 80 DNA points to spend on regeneration and the like, is this a mistake I think that even though I would not got NAZG achievement I would have won.

    The total of all lethal trans (bat 2) and symptoms (various) is about 18, with around 53 severity, and cure base of 0.24 cure inefficiency of 0.11.

    This can be approximated in the unlimited disease with Rash, Sweating, Fever, Skin Lesions, Necrosis, Insomnia, Seizures, Insanity, and Gene Hard 1

    In order to win a race against the cure clock in the simulation using unlimited disease, (so you can evolve/devolve at will) you have to add a chunk of lethality or a chunk of cure slow or combo of both.

    The base things that are evolvable in Necroa just are not enough on their own to do the job. IMHO some triggered action/sequence/event results in this change of conditions enabling us to win the race. Other than that I'm out of ideas.

    I've never seen this banner!!? I've been trying to find a way to stop the 'Necroa virus detected' red banner at the start.
    Conclusion: you can't!

    I wonder something, if the parameters for NAZG are only 100% dead and zero zombies, then what if it's some intricate balance act to have all the zombies dead before the game ends. You'd then have 100% infected/dead and no zombies. It's seems a daunting task but we are out of ideas here

    Text of achievement is "Win a game with the necroa virus without making a single zombie."

    The moment CR evolves you will make at least 1 zombie and fail.

    NAZG facts as they stand
    1. 100% infection - can't win if healthy people
    2. Cannot evolve or randomly mutate CR

    The thing is that the basic plagues (7+cheats) are coded differently from necroa and neurax.

    The data for that should be in the "plague" mach-o file but I cannot look into it from a windows PC.

    Heh, you are right, the nuke one took months if I remember correctly (and I had to make it easier twice :p)

    Great - glad its all good

    Re voting for hints - I'm afraid this isn't a democracy ;)
    What I will say is that I will add some breadcrumbs into the game to help with this one a bit. Won't be for a few weeks though as I'm in the US to give some talks at the CDC and GDC

    I'm only looking for the obvious in text, strings files. As for reverse engineering what is probably encrypted code - way out of my league.

    I deduced what I could from the zombie.txt and unlimited.txt files. Using these files to establish the lethality/severity/cure base/cure inefficiency for Necroa and then roughly match that in unlimited. I accept they are coded differently, but a close approximation is possible. In unlimited this approximation is close to the approx. 3.0billion dead in necroa. So I was able to ramp up/down the cure slow/lethality at will to determine we need to add a lot more than we have right now in Necroa.

    I don't see where to get it from using the basic symptoms/transmissions/abilities - so it has to come from somewhere else.

    James has said that the solution for NAZG is not sniffable (which is essentially what I'm doing to my limited capability)

    I'm inclined to agree, I can read the plain text files, nothing obvious in them, I cannot read the code.

    Awesome! Look forward to that. At the risk of offending the sniffers though, now that you know what they're up to, you might want to think about putting some simple text scrambler crypt/decrypt code on your string files, and maybe even a variable name scrambler for your stats files, to reduce hackability. :cool:

    James has a sense of humour and is clever - they wouldn't ask him to the CDC if not.

    He left a file "hi_game_sniffer.txt" in plain sight, anything useful is in code, probably encrypted already.

    This has probably been tried...but...Has anyone started their disease in West Africa? WA is the birthplace of Voodoo I believe, and from there it went to the Caribbean.

    I have had some success getting the entire world infected from West Africa by starting with these genes: CS, Tera, Blank, Creationist, Hydro

    Wait For 50- 60 DNA then Drug 1, Heat1, Cold1, Saliva 1&2, and Ship 1, then Ship 2 ASAP and Drug 2 ASAP.

    When first symptom evolves I usually have 30-40 DNA and 1.5B healthy...then evolve Zoo, Bat1, devolve Zoo, and wait for DNA for Bat2. This will infect the entire world but with little DNA left to evolve...I have been waiting on random mutations on left side to slow the cure...

    No luck yet...no new pop up events...but it infects the world...sometimes...any suggestions ??

    Personally I never bother with Drug 2 too expensive. The combo of drug 1, GH, GRS 1 & 2 is known to delay random mutations and is cheaper. Also I believe you are spending too much on transmissions. Bat 2 is +8 infective, bat 1 is +7 but you need zoonotic which you then devolve.

    I would recommend blood 1, saliva 1 and then gastro +6 and urogenital +7, not quite as infective but cheaper and doesn't get you noticed, bat 2 will get you noticed. Also water 2 is probably overkill.

    This is just my humble opinion, but as up you say you infect the world but lack DNA when you do.

    I tried both African and Haitian voodoo. Neither worked...

    PS. I thought I was crazy when I tried that. Apparently, I'm not the only one... :rolleyes:

    In all honesty, if NAZG was not borderline retarded, I would never bother sniffing in the first place. Making it harder to sniff in exchange for leaving in-game breadcrumbs is a fair trade in my opinion.
