So I just have to wait and hope for the best? There's no trigger?

I mean, I felt like there had to be, since waiting for 5+ years infecting the whole world didn't do anything. People have to die right?

It seems to occur randomly to me but there is a minor pattern to it. When it occurs, it usually does a few months before I win.

Try playing the unlimited cheat, and rushing all the skills at once. Chances are that it will happen sooner rather than later.

Radical but we could ask the developer for hints.

Or does anyone know a friendly IOS developer who could reverse engineer the package back to the code and tell us what the trigger is?

I spent hours reading the files. There does not seem to be an event trigger for it.

It just appears to have 2 parameters.

    Cytopathic reanimation: 0
    Dead: 6811136495

There could be a lot more information for this but I could not locate it... -_-

My gut tells me it has something to do with bats since they are a transmission unique to Necroa AND are the only lethal transmission in the game.

Bat II increases severity, which triggers cure research. It looks like a dead end to me.

Well everything looks like a dead end at this point :) But between the description of Bat I (harder to detect) and Bat II (only lethal transmission) it feels like there was some thought put in behind those that otherwise are not really employed apart from the Vamp Bat combo.

Otherwise why would you ever get Bat II?

    Bat 1:
    + infectivity (7)
    + mutation chance (50%)
    - research needed (-2%)

    Bat 2:
    + infectivity (8)
    + severity (5)
    + lethality (1)
    + mutation chance (20%)
    - research needed (-4%)

It does not look like a sound strategy. Low lethality, high severity, mutation chance & research required reduction. Recipe for failure... :S

Well it certainly doesn't work on its own, no doubt about that. But wouldn't you agree that it's a bit conspicuous to throw in +1 lethality on a transmission? Would the dev do that solely for the Vamp Bat combo?

The Vamp Bat could work just fine without lethality so I agree with you on that.

I tried looking into on what could potentially lower severity. The only "gov actions" that do that, require the goverment to fall first. So... craρ...

    NAZG ideas

The scientists concerned about <disease> message mentions something about scientists being concerned by the rate at which the virus replicates worrying that it could lead to tumours.
So does this mean that there's a combo that leads to the formation of tumours? This would give a large increase in lethality if its true.

Or s this a dead end?

I've tried having just the one symptom, delirium hoping people would just go crazy but no.

I've even added segmented genome and had all but 2 symptoms mutate. Still no luck at all.

Segmented Genome has a 250% mutation factor. Stay away from it unless you are doing the origin achievements.

PS. Isn't Acute Encephalitis the trigger for that tumours message?

I'm still waiting for people to replicate it. They seem reluctant for some weird reason...

    Can we haz hint nao?

I don't think we mind the challenge if we just had a general idea of the direction we should be going in.
