Cheers - any clue of non-starter? I'm assuming something needs to be done before they successfully analyse the disease but I don't know what. I've got Big Bang now and Deltasypher posted about dead end (although I'm still struggling to make it work).
I think non starter is linked with segmented genome, drug 2, Hardened. I don't if we need all these but I had them
Did you have and did you devolve bat 1. Also would like a consise posting or postings for Non Starter and Big Band, now that I get started. The info is spread about. Going zombie before discovery, coming down from insomnia seems to help get the post zombie pop-ups.
I did it too, but devolving bat and bird. Btw, messages can be very long to appear, so be patient and don't restart Now we have to infect the team. I have 2 ideas : bird 2, rodent 2 and bat 2 or vampire combo Edit : I had all animals 2 and vampire bat combo but I get the first achievement (research fail), still need to try to infect them
Infect Chernobyl research team To infect the research team you need to do all of the previous steps, but when they start to test on animals you have to leave it until you get the pop up Chernobyl animal tests successful After this upgrade blood and air transmissions to get air 3. After this another pop up appears saying Chernobyl animal autopsy compromises lab Major contaminant breach during cranial autopsy of Chernobyl animal. Entire research lab compromised. This gets you the breathe deep achievement. Im not 100% certain if there aren't other things involved but I think air 3 is needed, as it talks about aerosoled brain matter and the achievement s called breathe deep suggesting its air based as well.
Runner Combo I don't know if anyone found this combo yet, but anyways I'm just gonna post it. Runner Combo = [Enhanced Motor Control] + [Engorged Quadriceps] Allows some zombies to sprint and chase down their prey - increasing their severity
Possible Egypt ideas Ok so Darkwater is saliva and drugs Chernobyl is animals and saliva So if they are all transmission/ability based, then I believe that the Egyptian achievement will be blood based and temperature based. The temperature based part can eventually lead to the mummification ability, could this really be a part of it or is that too obvious? Also the first achievement is called "getting colder". Is that just the common phrase or is it a hint that coldness is key, like the breathe deep and big bang achievements? Devolving blood could be key to tricking the DNA tests, or genome could be included as well. Insects and Rats could also be a part of the achievement. I've also noticed a trend in the achievements, after the initial steps of setting things up you get a pop up and then you can either leave it or make changes and get an achievement. If you leave it there's another pop up which you can either react to and get an achievement or leave it again. If you leave that then you get anther pop up which if you react to you get an achievement but f you leave it then a weakness for your virus is discovered. Using this I'm guessing that first of all there is an Egyptian DNA test, I don't think this is related to the blood tests that some countries conduct but you never know. Maybe these tests are for identifying individuals for an expedition like the space one or it could be a nationwide test. After this I'm guessing there's an expedition into the pyramids of Giza looking for an ancient weakness, possibly Osiris' knowledge. This knowledge could well be something that you can then evolve to "invalidate Osiris' knowledge" e.g. zombie skulls are weak, evolve cranial elephantitis. I may be completely wrong these are just ideas.

Thanks to all who contributed and guided me (especially Kromoz0hm, Deltasypher and AnnaBanana) I now have all 3 DarkWater and Chernobyl achievements. Working on Eygpt. I did once during beta testing get the pop up expedition to Giza pop up. It was a while ago but I seem to think I was evolving blood and salvia and taking the "expansion" transmissions. I doubt i would have used zoonotic or genome as i would not want to increase mutate chance, but i could be wrong. As with DarkWater and Chernobyl the Giza pop up and presumably 2 red banner messages all occur prior to going zombie, so do not involve any post zombie abilities (mummification) or transmissions (air 3). Obviously either of these could be involved post zombie. Just my opinion, open to debate and correction Update, as proposed by AnnaBanana there does seem to be a time/infected limit for the origin triggers. I always get the DarkWater pop up (now) if infected below 50, if infected above that then no pop up. The point being same might apply to Eygpt.
Egypt I wonder if the organ related transmissions have anything to do with it. I'm ancient Egypt they removed a lot of vital organs before a person was mummified. Maybe some link... It's crazy how fast these are getting figured out haha, like a giant squad of cyber detectives. So cool!
Okay, I have been trying literally the whole day to get Dead End and I'm not getting anywhere. I already got Non Starter and Big Bang no problem. If I'm understanding you guys correctly, after DarkWater admits the virus was their fault, the next message should be about them finding a weakness, then I should evolve as many zombie symptoms as I can and they will fail. However, I always get the message that they have successfully analysed the virus instead, I tried just evolving a lot of symptoms after that but it just says they start up Z-Rest. This is what I've been doing. Start in USA Evolve Saliva and Drug DarkWater offers 10M for scientist Security breach Shut down for security reasons Save up DNA Evolve from the left until the zombie symptom DarkWater admits virus was their fault DarkWater successfully analyses virus Even if I add symptoms after they admit the virus was their fault, they still successfully analyse the virus. Any help here?

I followed it, but the bolded part never comes up, instead it says that they have successfully analysed the virus.
Try using creationist gene to avoid random mutations, and devolve any that are devolvable that do mutate.
I just tried that, nothing mutated, after the pop-up of DarkWater admitting the virus is a weapon, I waited and got another pop-up that says they "successfully replicate its genetic structure. The team is confident their findings will help fight the zombies"
This is how I have repeated it, some bits not strictly required, just my preference. Genes, boost orange or red both work. Aquacyte, anything but native really, dopamine, creationist, rurophile. Casual mode, start USA. 1) Evolve saliva 1 as soon as you have 6+ DNA, then drug 1 as soon as you have 9+ DNA. 2) Shortly thereafter DarkWater pop up, close it, collect DNA, monitor the banner to the two follow up messages on DarkWater 3) Get heat 1 and cold 1 when you can ( not required it is just something I do ) 4) collect DNA, do not spend, wait until around 1 billion infected and around 100 DNA depending on which boost you have active and how nice it has been. 5) Evolve down and right from insomnia to cytopathic reanimation. Wait for DarkWater fault pop up, close it wait for DarkWater successfully analyses pop up. 6) Evolve anaerobic resuscitation, enhanced sensory intergration, enhanced motor control, peptide surge, and so on for severity and combat. 7) DarkWater fails to find weakness pop up Get to zombie, let them admit fault, let them successfully analyze genetic structure, evolve enough to change what they analyzed, they fail.
