I've tried elephantitis and biosynthesis combo at least three times prior to reading this thread, all to no avail. I'm guessing that the key is actually Air III, something I never bothered with before. I'll give it a couple of shots.
Ivr got 3 done on Brutal. Its not clear which ones those are except from my memory. Some sort of silver/gold star type marking system indicating progress would be nice.
Still plugging on high scores, squeezed a 189k. Slight change to gene strategy, went with Genetic Mimic instead of Darwinist to get lower cure percentage, still got quite a lot of mutations so seems like the trade off was worth it.
Sweet! I'm still trying to figure out the DarkWater, Chernobyl and Egypt events. I haven't gotten the insect population boom event either, for Who needs DEET. No idea at all for NAZG @.@ There was this idea about making the countries nuke each other, I've been adding delirium to make everyone paranoid, but it's not really leading anywhere...
I literally just got the insect population messege. I evolved insects once I got it and then immediately one month later I got a messege that the zombies repelled the insects. Regarding the origin series, I think I've only figured out the basics, aka the starting areas. Chernobyl and Giza are pretty much straight forward: Ukraine (edited. I stand corrected) and Egypt. Darkwater I think is the UK. I believe it's a reference to V for Vendetta. For NAZG, I once managed to get China completely paranoid and stop all research. The next time I managed to get a country paranoid, they actually increased research speed (slightly different pop up messeges). There is something that we are missing....
I've had the insect boom a few times so I've never needed to try to generate it. The dialogue box says it's due to the large numbers of dead bodies, so if you need it maybe try to get lots of dead people and not that many zombies (just got it again with 32% dead, 15% zombie 51% healthy). I'm pretty certain you can only get this event if you don't already have insect 1, so obviously you'll have to use other transmissions. Sorry if I'm being dense but do you have to do sonething special to get Air III? I only seem to be able get Air II? I can't get the cranial dispersion - EDIT: Never mind - found it (I never get extra transmissions after zombies so I didn't see it)
Using this stradegy (also had air 3) was able to get the achievement, thanks. Only 10 achievements to go, just gotta find the triggers for 9 of them. For not another zombie game, I'm stumped it looks like a lot of specific have to be done in the right order, it's insane seeing the cure go that fast, looking like the more that die the faster it goes, gotten up to around 1.4 - 1.6 billion dead.
You're right redpill - you do need zombies (that's why I couldn't see it because I always give up with transmissions after going zombie)
Yeah. Air III needs zombies; it has to do with aerosoled brain matter from the zombies being more infectious.
You are right and I'm an idiot. I have played a shietload of games so far and not once have I noticed that Ukraine was a seperate area... I'm my mind I had always considered it as part of the Balkan States. Ignore me and move along... -_-
By the way, are you sure about the bath time combo? I've tried replicating it quite a few times and it's not working. All the other combos you mentioned are working just fine. :S
Bath time can only be done before zombies I think, so evolve the symptoms and wait, do not go for zombies. Still working on "use your head", I get the symptoms but not the message.
