    Writing down my strategy here so I don't forget it later.

    Genes: ATP Boost, Native Biome, Sympto-Statis, Base Oxidisation, Urbophile

    The strategy focuses on earliest days of the game with the thinking that it is easier to shave off some days early than it is at the end of the game since infection growth is exponential.

    With ATP Boost + first starting DNA you have 9 DNA points, which means you essentially start the game with Coughing+Sneezing (in China). Then I would get Cysts+Abscesses. Then either Nausea+Vomiting or Rash+Sweating, etc. I went heavy on symptoms, even with some minor lethals at this point. Then I would start getting Drug 1 and Bacterial Resilience and then Transmissions (usually water to start to encourage infected ships to get to Madagascar/Greenland).

    The nice part about this strategy is you can know very early on whether you have a chance at being successful. I pick a certain day within a month or two of the start date to check how many infected I have. Right now I've been using Jan 1 2013. Using the strategy above I know if I have at least 20-25k people infected I have a chance at making a solid run (obviously this changes as time goes on because the game always starts on the present day).

    There seems to be some randomness as to how quickly you get DNA points in the first few days of a game, so if I had a crappy result by Jan 1, I could just restart and not waste time playing a whole game.

    I would also notice that seemingly out the blue I would get huge chunks of DNA. I'm not entirely clear on how that works, whether it's purely number of new infections or if there is some time reward involved?

    It has been a while since I went for speed and since upgrading to 1.4.2 the best I have done recently is 200+

    Added strategy above. I used the same approach with Virus and got the 181 I mentioned on the previous page thanks to more random mutations

    Scoring high on worm

    I’m having trouble reaching the scores you’re getting on the neurax worm. I have only been able to reach 1.32m so far using a tweaked version of redpill’s strategy. My question is once you have enough DNA to purchase all symptoms, genetic hardenings and reshuffles, what order do you evolve?

    I tried 2 methods.
    Method 1- Evolving all at the same time. Score 1.20m
    Method 2- Evolving symptoms and hardenings and then waiting to evolve all reshuffles once enslave pop-up appears (evolving shuffles prior to closing pop-up of course) Score 1.32m.

    What’s your logic and recommended strategy to end game evolve order, when do you evolve reshuffles? The score variation i got is so minor. My thinking is that there is some randomness that greatly affects score, primarily the number of pop-ups received after evolving symptoms and etc. The fewer pop-ups the higher the score. Sucks about the randomness of the pop-ups because it takes an hour to get to this point.

    Tweaked high score worm strategy

    I have made tweaks to red pill’s strategy that solves 2 problems.

    Problem 1 - The time to finish, I can complete in under 8 years.
    Problem 2 – Air or water sterilization, I can upgrade transmission to counteract.

    My tweaked strategy from Redpill.

    Genes: Genes: Cytochrome Surge, Teracyte, Sympto-Statis, Genetic Mimic, Extremophile.

    Start in China

    Collect 17 DNA. Simultaneously evolve Neural Breach, Cerebral Tendrils, Frontal Mesh, Adrenergic Constriction, Anxiolytic Infusion, Psychosis, Perceptive Jolt, and Occipital Mesh. This removes severity immediately.

    Collect 31 DNA. Evolve drug resistance 1, Trojan planes 1 and 2, and cold resistance 1. No need for Trojan plane 3, explained later.

    If you receive sterilization pop-up using following strategy to counter act, otherwise no need to spend DNA for transmission. Collect 20 DNA. Evolve Concertina Locomotion, Undulatory Locomotion, and air or water (depending on pop-up) then immediately devolve Concertina Locomotion. This removes severity immediately.

    Now send Trojan planes strategically until total world infect. I like to start with Canada, Angola, Zimbabwe, and Botswana as these typically give me the hardest time when starting with China. This is at your discretion though.

    If you followed this strategy correctly, you should have total world infect by 2015/2016 and have roughly 180 DNA. Now you to keeping sending Trojan planes to collect enough DNA to buy all remaining symptoms (238 DNA) and genetic hardenings and reshuffles (102 DNA), the magic number being 340 DNA.

    Unfortunately it takes 5 years to collect the remaining DNA required to purchase all, at a rate of 30-35 DNA per year collected from the planes. I have tried this strategy several times with adding Trojan plane 3 from the start and found you receive the exact same rate of DNA award per year. That’s why I recommend not to evolve plane 3, better to save the DNA and not have the increased severity that comes with it.

    By 2020/2021 you should have all DNA (340) needed for purchase.

    Evolve all symptoms and genetic hardenings 1-2. You must now also choose how to evolve reshuffles 1-3. Either evolve right now, wait it enslave pop-up then evolve, or evolve some before and after. Not quite sure what the best method is for evolving reshuffles.

    You still get DNA with Trojan Planes even if the whole world is infected. Actually it's a bit silly, I'm not sure that was what the devs intended. Honestly I don't think there is much nuance to the infection process as long as you keep severity and lethality at zero. The score seems to be almost entirely based on cure % here, so I don't think timing is an issue either.

    I saved up 400-something DNA and bought absolutely everything, including abilities.

    Re tweaked hi score strategy

    This is me being silly, but why spend to get air or water and also the 6 pt brutal devolve cost, when you can send Trojan planes anywhere in the world?

    Air filters, who cares, you can still infect by land and water.
    Water sterilisation, send Trojan planes to islands.

    Just me but I keep the DNA and use the planes for both of those messages.

    Last time I bought reshuffle 1 & 2 then ran out of DNA, then bought 3 as soon as I could from death DNA.

    Also I devolved the Obsession symptom, seems like it can only hurt.

    No transmissions, sorry should have specified. I don't think they impact severity or lethality so it's pointless once everyone is infected.

    But I did buy all the abilities except for the 3rd shuffle, which I then bought ASAP with death DNA.

    score is based on more than cure %. it also has to do with plague complexity. see pic below, i got 0% cure but with a low score because my plague (DNA sequence) was standard not complex. this is because i didnt buy all the symptoms in that game. the more symptoms you buy the more complex your plague, the higher you score. of course with cure % playing a huge part too.

    your right timing doesn't matter. i simply presented my tweaked strategy so that game can be completed much faster. 2800 days is better than 5900!

    now when you say you bought everything, what do you mean? obviously you bought all symptoms. in abilities did buy all trojan roamers & destroyers, and hot/cold resistance? what about transmission, did you buy all those too?

    Worm death DNA

    Well I am confused now. Since we enslave it (for me) takes about 4 or 5 days after purchasing all symptoms before enslave message and victory screen. Where does the death DNA come from? I know we are lethal but not for long enough due to the enslave?

    yes i understand you bought reshuffles, so did I. the questions is when did you evolve them? before or after the the enalve pop-up?

    Last time I bought the first two when I bought all the other stuff. Then I think the third came right after the enslavement message.

    I also notice this, and especially on very short, less than 1 finger width (on IPad) trips, that is when the Trojan appears very close to where you want to send it.

    I play on iPhone usually and if I drag a Trojan plane to the ocean (or anywhere that is indicated as "The World") the graphic will stick there.
