Doesn't work for me either. Tried 4x, each time waited until after Spalin voted in to add insect 1+2. Waited several years until population finally died out, no Russia threat. Must be something else you have that triggers it.
Insect 1 & 2 definitely worked for me before the 1.3.1 update to fix the worm crash. I've tried 4 times with latest update, no Russia threat after years. I think it is broken. Ndemic/anyone able to confirm that Russia nuke is still possible under 1.3.1

well, at least insect 1+2 is worked in the version before.. (1.3.0) why it isn't worked now ? (1.3.1) at least i have completed all the achievements...
Yes it(Russia Nuke v1.3.1) does still work I just got it. the ONLY transmission i got were air 1&2, and water 1&2, followed the guides same in every other aspect (Drug Resist 1&2,slightly lethal until POTUS is sick, Insanity, Spalin elected, de-evolve insanity) then i got Livestock 1&2, Rodent 1&2, Insect 1&2, blood 1&2. Bingo she threatens Russia. Not Sure which one did it (tried Rodent by itself to no avail). but there you go. Now if only I could get 'Peer Pressure', tried Bacteria (max Bac Resist, no sympt, whole world infect wiat 10 years nothing), tries Parasite (Max Symb, Insomnia, Paranoia, and again nothing) Any Help? Also as far as Names.....I like nothing better than to kill the world with 'Kindness'

Leader board issues anyone? Hey all, Anyone had issues with their scores not posting on the Leaderboard/Gamecentre since the latest update? I just blew my highest score out of the water...twice! Only showing on my local scores tho', not on the Global I am getting the "Welcome back" etc. Gamecentre notification when I open the game, so I don't know. Never had an issue before. Haven't seen anyone else post about this problem. Anyway, managed 144,000-ish, waaay past my previous best-will post screen shot as proof later
Russia nuke broken in 1.3.1 for iPad Doesn't work on iPad. Tried starting in USA, China, Russia, Eygpt and Saudi Arabia. Drug 1 & 2, livestock 1 & 2, swine flu, POTUS sick, seizures, insanity, Spalin. Add bird 1 & 2 = china threat, 10 times out of 10 Add every other transmission = nothing, world dies before threat, or if add bird 1 & 2 after waiting 5 years = china threat. In 1.3.0 adding insect 1 & 2 at this stage caused Russia threat. Therefore IMO Russia nuke is broken in 1.3.1 Comment please Ndemic
Same I have 2 local scores not showing on the global scores, both set with 1.3. Bear in mind that the majority of global scores are for jail broken devices and / or hacked on the game centre servers. The massive scores, and the fact they are not listed in descending order of score is a dead give away to a cheat/hack Out of interest what disease, method did you use?
Try not getting livestock 1&2 before Spalin, I didn't. True no swine flu, but it is possible to get POTUS sick without it, just make it leathal, I believe I did nausea, vomiting, and daiorea. Also, still no luck on getting a riot. I would be surprised if the iPhone and iPad versions would be different, but maybe
Hmm,same problem as me. My scores WERE showing up prior to the latest update. I know there have always been stupid scores from kids hacking the Gamecentre but where it shows "Me", it always showed my score. The only one where my scores show is under "All-Time", but not the games I've played since the update. Anyway, I just got something in the region of 180,000 & very dis-chuffed that it doesn't show! Ok, disease/method. Someone [EDIT-actually I think it was you] posted a while back that they were getting scores consistently over 100,000 using Parasite (brutal) & being extremely patient. That works. Try starting China, get all 3 para specials-the severity goes into the minus. Then pick a couple of modes of transition - I've gone Rat 1, insect 1, & either water or air1 depending on the "...using new sterilization techniques" message. Then Drug1,Cold1. Add gen hardening 1. Sit back & wait...let any NON-lethal symptoms evolve, as they will not be noticed. When all countries infected, FF is your friend, it takes a while from here! You should have around 220-ish DNA once no health peeps. Devolve the 3 para specials then aim for the Hem.shock,Necrosis,Systemic inf., Coma, total organ failure, dysentery routes. If you have enough, get insanity. Total wipeout occurs pretty rapidly & you should pick up enough DNA for all 3 genetic reshuffle. Best I got was cure 6% complete. Being patient is the key, everyone will get infected by around 2017, so it does take a while!
Basically what I call the overkill method which I credited in my original post on page 51 to Hylander24? I have tweaked the method slightly since my posting to boost my scores from 85,000 to 106,000 ( v1.2 ) and now 200,000+ ( v1.3 ) Annoying about the scores, I have 2 above 200,000 ( 3% and 4% ) cure, that don't show. Only my 106,000 score shows as "me" in gamecentre. Ndemic any comments on scoreboards?
Peer pressure I have done a couple of runs and got peer pressure both times, instead of completely hiding, have severity around 1.0. I suggest nausea or aneamia, devolve everything else. I have done it in normal but brutal seems best, IMO

Coming along nicely! Insect never had anything to do with the Russia nuke - this is a false rumour Russia nuke is still possible - nothing has changed with the latest update! Hadn't noticed this but will take a look at it. I am seeing some duplication on the scores. Good job! Question for people - do you like the long, challenging story chains to unlock achievements (like Plague In Space etc) i.e. do you want more?
Yes - though Plague in Space is possibly the most peculiar example, given that the rate of cure development makes it nigh on impossible without invoking a cheat. However I have enjoyed doing Peer Pressure/Insane Bolt/Contaminated Package as well.
Nuke Russia Using Immunity cheat, I started in China (don't think it matters), Water 1 & 2, Air 1 & 2, Drug 1 & 2. Once it spreads to USA, get non lethal symptoms as you would for Swine Flu but do NOT add Livestock (Coughing, Sneezing, Pneumonia, Fever, Nausea, Vomiting, Diarrhoea). Add Cold 1 & 2. If any non lethal symptoms evolve you can leave them or not. You can evolve Insanity before the President gets sick or afterward. Once the President gets sick, add Insanity or if already evolved, just wait for the message that Spalin has been selected. Add Livestock 1 & 2. You must have Cold 1 & 2 - you can even add after Livestock. When Spalin threatens Russia, add Paralysis then sit back and wait for the nukes to launch.
