I just got the disease to spread worldwide, then only gave it one symptom. That seemed to work for me.

Hey guys, I'm new to posting here for strats, but I've been banging my head on how to trigger the threat once Spalin gets voted in as well. After reading Ndemic's most recent post, I started thinking about what diseases may have originated in china or russia that would cause Spalin to think that one of those countries is responsible for the outbreak. Since apparently the threats aren't random, I'm going to do some googling on common diseases from Russia or possibly bioweapons and look at symptoms and try to duplicate them and report back with an answer if I can find anything solid. I don't know if this is a link, but last night i was sitting for a long time with Spalin in power, but no threat. I evolved Avian transmission even though the whole world was already infected, and all the countries went crazy trying to kill all birds, then I got a threat against China (first time I ever got the threat), and evolved paralysis and China was nuked. Maybe bird flu from china?
Swine flu Livestock 1 and 2, nausea, vomit, diarrhoea, coughing, sneezing, fever, insomnia and paranoia, always works for me. Some posts mention inflammation, it is not required. I have had the swine flu pop up without it, but you must have livestock as transmission.
I can confirm this worked for me as well. I decided to keep transmission methods to a minimum as a test. Took Bird 1 + Livestock 1, Drug 1+2, and Cold 1, Heat 1. Ships developed improved techniques, so I got water 1. Received a message about extreme bird event so got Bird 2. Rest were symptoms. Eventually nuked China with this combination. I think the logic behind China really makes sense. Hopefully it bears out!
As a note, I also got the "extreme bird event" notification, in which I also evolved Bird 2 and the threat against China happened shortly after that. I think we may be on to something. I don't remember if USA was business as usual when the threat occurred. I can't verify that this needs to be the case, but it would make sense that it does. Sometimes I have to devolve almost every symptom to keep "business as usual" status when the amount of deaths in the US exceed 50%. Anyone remember any specific messages similar to the extreme bird event before the Russia event triggered? I'm trying to make connections to russia. Vodka, Malaria (mosquitoes), etc... I'm at a loss.
To be clear, I don't think you need to do that extreme bird migration event. I believe it is sufficient to have at least 1 in bird transmission.
Cheats gone I defeated all levels (except Neurax Worm) on Brutal early in the summer and have had cheats available ever since. Then, upgraded phones and Plague version and now cannot access the cheats. The game imported all my high scores, and I have the three "bars" highlighted for each plague type (except Neurax Worm), but it won't allow me to use the cheats. Anyone know how to fix this? I thought you didn't need to defeat Neurax Worm on brutal to gain access to the cheats. I'd rather fix the problem than have to win each level on Brutal again - for some reason Bio-Weapon is a lot harder on the new version! Thanks!
Cheats gone They come back when you beat the worm on brutal, easy enough, I did it by death, not sure if enslave counts. You only have to beat the new disease, the worm on brutal
Okay, I think I have nukes figured out. In the beginging, get all the preveious mentioned to get the POTUS sick. Drug 1&2, LIVESTOCK 1&2, Swine Flu Combo. When POTUS gets sick, add Insanity (duh). Spalin gets elected. For China, add Bird 1&2 (bird flu) --> Spalin threatens China --> Add Paralysis For Russia, add Mosquito 1&2 (malaria?) --> Spalin threatens Russia --> Add Paralysis EDIT: I thought that it might be worth mentioning, that on my last russia nuke, i also had the following evolved before the POTUS fell ill: Water 1, Air 1, Cold 1&2, Heat 1, Nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, Coughing, Sneezing, Pneumonia, Fever, Sweating, Skin Lesions, Rash, Insomnia, Paranoia, Inflammation, and Seizures. All this in addition to Drug 1&2 and Livestock 1&2. Then POTUS fell ill; add insanity, Spalin elected in, add Mosquitoes 1&2, threaten Russia, add Paralysis. I tried to make sure to pop all cure bubbles and all DNA bubbles if that matters. China/Russia Nuked Can someone back me up on this? I've been sucessful 2x with each method! Now to figure out the Space triggers!!!!
wow, we got some progress here... tried last night peer pressure, one symptom (coughing), all the rest is transmissions and abilities... using cheat government will take no actions... waited until 2020, got tired and sleep... -____-" will try us feat chn+rus, hope this time works...
Space triggers extreme bio (air and water max) whilst starting in the USA under immunity cheat. When you get mission planned, devolve all symptoms, u can keep insomnia, paranoia and insanity if also trying to nuke, nothing lethal. Mission launched = add minor lethal, such as inflame, sit back and wait for mission failure.

Nuking confirmed, ish If you don't use bird or insect in getting too Spalin voted in then adding them afterwards 100% gets you a threat pop up. 10 games, 5 china nukes, 5 Russia nukes. Well thought out nice job. Where I still have problems is if i use those transmissions PRIOR to Spalin. At that point you don't always get a pop up. Also if insanity or paralysis mutated before required, again the threat pop up does not always appear. Achievement still broken, just not where I thought it was. Also Ndemic said Nukes could be in any disease, I wonder if there is a specific trigger to getting POTUS sick very quickly.
i also confirmed the bird worked !! it makes spalin threatened china... and now i'm trying the insect... how to make POTUS sick ? sometime he is sick really fast, sometimes really, really slow... maybe it's just random eh ? lol another randomness thing popped up in my head... === anyone could help with the peer pressure ? i still couldn't get it... = =. how long should i wait ?
Peer pressure Okay so I have been banging my head against a wall with this peer pressure achievement. I have tried what has been suggested to just slowly infect with no symptoms. Tried with no government interference, the neurax worm and parasite. I get everyone infected (no healthy people left message) and then I wait, devolving symptoms but nothing happens. Obviously I am missing some sort of trigger but for the life of me I can't figure out what. Have also tried having one symptom and have varied which one it is (so far tried coughing, rash, insomnia, anemia). Any suggestions would be appreciated.
