I think that all the notifications about how successful your disease has been (more infectious than X, more lethal than Y) make people think that they've won when they haven't. (Especially, I'm assuming, in the case where you wipe out all your hosts prior to infecting every single person on the planet.) Maybe in an update it should be spelled out a little more clearly? I'm seeing quite a few complaints along those lines, haha.
Yes - next update hopefully Typos are slowly being erradicated! Re nukes - I'm afraid I can't say anything. Will be a world first when someone works it out. Yes - this is an issue. I made it clearer still in update 1.2 which has helped but I may need to be even more specific.
Actually, there is a message that clearly states "No Healthy People Left". I don't see the issue, it's actually simple facts about your plague, because even when it shows that, it's possible your disease hasn't been noticed in-game.
I know what you mean but still - at the end of the day, if some people are misunderstanding my game - I need to make it clearer!
I already bought this game, but I am waiting for a few filler/tweak patches and a retina refresh before I dive in. The dev is a shacker and is all ears for any suggestions on ideas to make the game better. Absolutely crazy how fast this game blew up on the app store.
To win everyone needs to be infected then kill everyone right! Cuz if there is 1 person left healthy and everyone else is dead you lose right?
Just downloaded the update, haven't had one crash yet. Great work! I know I was skeptical at first that this was just a pandemic clone, but if anything this is much better. While Pandemic is a simple port from the computer version, you've taken it's general premise and adapted it to iOS, and with these frequent updates I can only see it getting better. Keep it up!
On the unclear win conditions Actually, this is an issue, I think, because you don't know about the "no healthy people left" message until after you've already seen it. If you haven't seen it before, you wouldn't know to be looking out for the indicator. The first time I played, I only really knew I lost because I was staring at Greenland and knew for a fact that I wasn't finished, yet. I think maybe Ndemic could add, on top of the comparisons to real disease statistics, occasional notifications on how much of the world is still healthy. So, on top of keeping track of the Cure percentage, the game could also notify you of [% Healthy People Left] and perhaps even [% World Still Alive]. Maybe as a graphical indication on the world map, like: [country is normal] > [country fills in with red as it is infected (as it is now)] > [some kind of blink or glowing border or similar that notes a completely infected country] > [country changes colors again to black or something to note deaths] > [country blinks or glows in the new color to signify complete eradication]. Such a UI change would carry the additional benefit of letting you see at-a-glance when your lethality overtakes your infectivity, as the black would overtake the red before the red is done spreading. Since Plague Inc. is all about information, any way to deliver that information more clearly would be totally welcome~ One last little thing that's been bugging me: In the individual country pages, it notes when a country has fallen to total anarchy, but I think there should be a separate message for "totally annihilated". Just for the satisfaction of seeing it.
great game, weird achievements Really love this game. But the achievements are very hard. So nobody got the USA to nuke a country? oink oink is a big mystery! blood transfusions also (but seems easy), anybody got the solution? brown streets soudns funny, but so far no succes. Very happy that i got the unlock cheats! Fungus and nano bot..... still having nightmares about them....
Wow, so i just noticed in GameCenter while reading the achievements that it is possible to do something about the iCure and the Astronaut mission. I just haven't the FOGGIEST idea how to even approach it. I was mighty upset the first time the iCure was made public and ppls were able to start curing themselves with their iPhones 'n such. I can't wait to figure this out. EDIT - I like the idea of the color change to black as the people in the respective countries die. Would be nice to see a graphical representation of the spreading death to get an idea of which countries are still alive and kicking.
I haven't the foggiest on the nuking, but... as for the "brown streets" one, it's possible to make people wander the streets, pooping everywhere. I forget how I got this, but it may be [Diarrhea+Insanity] or something similar. For the iCure, I've thwarted it twice without trying, and once it was successfully used to cure. It may have something to do with the USA, since Apple is based in Cupertino, you might have to aggressively attack there. I've never seen the astronaut mission, but for the achievement, you have to make sure that someone on that shuttle is infected, I believe.
