Have we gotten any clues as to whether PZ is linked to a specific plague type? The development team has been spending most of their time on Necroa so it's possible it's there, but we've played Necroa so much doing NAZG and PhiGlax that I would think we would have seen something by now, so maybe it can only be done on other plague types like the Spalin nuke achievement.
Could be the immune plague type.. Sounds plausible enough. The only plague which could use some help developing a cure. I don't think it's origin based. I've asked mr Vaughan if it is random like Nazg or it's 100% certain but he seems to be ignoring me. Also.. I've been trying on unlimited plague as it gives you enough dna to make all kinds of combos at once. For some reason the plague spreads to another country even without any transmissions evolved and with low infectivity.. Infecting another country when the starting country has only 84 infected is quite an achievement
Food for thought (theory), look into CDC respond procedures. When there red flags go up, when they initiate there war room etc. only issue so far that I see us they have a ton of plans. If this is the case gotta find a generic plan. If this was mentioned already sorry for the repeat, we just been hammering a ton of ideas out. This seems to be the new NAZG.
Just tried on Cheats with Swine flu CDC messages, realized combo, spotted on native country, diarrhorrea only lethal symptom = Nothing except destroy humanity slowly I saw CDC messages talks about Outbreak but nothing related to the movie because talks about a very lethal virus and only helps to kill patient zero
Anyway what if cheats don't help CDC? I'm going to try Ricin CDC message, that's the Bioweapon btw, where I can glitch for infinite DNA.
It sort of depends on what is meant by Patient Zero: If it's the historical sense and we're trying to mimic HIV and the Canadian guy who at one point was considered a candidate, a number of the plagues (including the cheats) have Immune Suppression as a possible symptom. Blood 1/Drug 1 in the first 60 days would be a likely starting point if it was a origin-like approach. If it's a generic use of the term referring to the first identified case of any sort of plague and not linked to the historical AIDS case, it could be just about anything.
> Zero I think we are doing the right thing by posting all our failures, by knowing what doesn't work we can eventually target the thing that's gonna work? In theory anyway! On that note, I've been using immune plague, getting 100% infected with no symptoms or gen reshuffles/gen hard, I've used drug1 a few times, then I add symptoms, make it a bit lethal then remove them aftèr a few weeks, my thinking is that we need ppl alive to find patient zero but they need to be desperate enough to bother! My plan is if I get the pop I about searching for PZ then I will either make it super lethal or remove all symptoms and whack up the gen hard/reshuffle in a way of confusing any tests, so far nothing has worked, anyone else trying anything similar? I'm sure if we keep working together we will get this done soon!
Everything I've found online referring to patient zero and CDC has something to do with the Canadian fella who brought HIV to the USA, so maybe it's a sneaky 4th part of the last origin story? starting in the uk will get USA infected fast AIDS is mentioned a lot during that origin story I can't think of anything else!
Try it. I am too sleepy to play another game *_*. Bioweapon could also be a potential candidate for the plague type as the lethality is maximum and you can infect the whole world easily without being noticed. Still there is no clue to CDC.. Maybe starting in the us.. Only God and mr Vaughan know the answer to this one. Also related to CDC.. There's something in Canada,an organization whose task is informing other nations of their findings.. I've read it somewhere on the internet. Maybe a clue
Yeah I tried waiting to the end of the PhiGlax storyline when they were "successful" in hopes that then there would be some message about the CDC, but no dice.
Patient zero is the specific reference in the AIDS outbreak for the medical term of "index case" http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Index_case The index case or primary case is the initial patient in the population of an epidemiological investigation, or more generally, the first case of a condition or syndrome (not necessarily contagious) to be described in the medical literature, whether or not the patient is thought to be the first person affected Therefore IMHO we have to simulate AIDS/HIV symptoms without being too fatal. Get the transmissions (blood/body fluid) and symptoms right and it should happen.
