I'm using bacteria and cough symptom, cos they cough in Contagion, just fiddling with transmitions and drug resistance to try and get a pop up, I'm guessing this isn't a 60 days trigger at the beginning, but might be, who knows?

 

Still no update for android... tried the steps boto suggests for NAZG... still nothing. (didnt even expect a pop up)... thanks for not admitting to your game's fans that they were wasting their time/effort on a broken game

...maybe i'll play the update, maybe not

 

The game is not broken. And the achievement definetely works. I haven't figured it either on android but that doesen't make it impossible right?

Hmm what if those cdc messages about the west nile virus are like a clue? I mean.. It is a zoonotic virus which spreads through mosquitoes.. And birds too Just a thought.. But it sounds plausible as the cdc would try to interfere... Probably craziness but who knows? I've seen worse xD

Well according to the CDC the virus originated somewhere in East Africa an then with a major outbreak in Algeria and in Romania lol. But USA,Caribbean and Europe aren't excluded.

 

All at once. I took a break and got all the other achievements except CDC. Ready for some more attempts.

 

Strange... Evolving them all at once should do the trick.

 

All i've managed to do is the russian nuclear retaliation .. No CDC on this one

It did it again. All the way and gets cured anyway. Question...when you get the final popup about the failed cure...how far along is the cure usually and does it go down after the popup (my last two games it was at about 77% but stayed there after the popup). Thanks!

so thanks to starviruz's idea of looking through the game's text in the es.strings file, I believe I've found the Patient Zero popup messages:

 

That message is shown in the news quite randomly.. Maybe i did something wrong but long before you posted this i tried something like evolving drug resistance but perhaps i missed something. Could be tricky ^^

 

Ah, ok I edited it out. I'd never seen it before, lol. There's a lot of CDC news ticker messages in there but it doesn't look like patient zero has any yellow ones to lead to the right path. I can deduce at least that:

Starting country doesn't matter.
The disease has to be discovered and in cure mode.
Low/no lethality until the second message.

thats what i was thinking. we want the cdc to find the dude, but to find him there must be alot of severety and a little lethality. once they locate him we can jack up the lethality and they all drop like flies. and the cdc fails

 

Hmmm... Something's not right. I've tried different methods.. Infected the whole world without using transmissions.. Only coughing symptom. At 100% infected evolved symptoms which gave low lethality and moderate to high severity.. Nothing. Another method was infecting like 10 % of the world and get noticed.. Again.. Nothing :|

 

where are u guys usually starting and what type of plague are u using? bacteria? virus? what?
