I'd agree. I had both on my device having purchased pandemic at launch. So hey pandemic have got their money from me. But Plague Inc IS a much better iOS game. And that's why it's not a clone. Wouldn't exist without Pandemic. But its better, and that's a good thing because it forces the Pandemic devs to up their game. Competition = win, cloning = fail.
agreed, although personally i would prefer a graphical bar during play, being able to see the numbers in the world info view.

can you get through brutal by just going under detection via spreading with only coughing and transportation on water/air/bird then devolving everything and going for hemorrhagic shock? worked in normal with ease. Just takes time
Considering you said you'd taken holiday from your actual job to cope with launch... I'm sure we can cut you some slack. In addition to other comments, my personal request. On the highscore table, showing what sort of plague that particular score was achieved with. Just the icon would do. Oh and increasing the length of name allowed. I was gutted to discover that people could not be infected with Firecrotch.
so I got the game over the weekend, and I'm hooked. normally I'm not typically into RTS kind of games, but Plague Inc. - in some ways - reminds me of what I liked best from Eufloria. there's something nice about slowly and methodically plotting an infestation and/or epidemic. one thing that might sustain my interest + keep me coming back to the game is somehow show the different "personalities" of the infection types (for example, a bacterial infection might look and behave differently than a parasite, so is there someway to visually illustrate that on a map.) also, could the individual symptoms effect news stories from infected countries? I deliberately got 100% global infection, then evolved/de-evolved symptoms so the infection just caused mass insanity...what kind of news stories could that produce + cause countries to behave? I guess similar to the "Walking Dead" effect when 2 symptoms cause a larger effect on the gameplay and "storytelling" narrative. I really liked these sorts of events and would like to see more stuff like it. ...and yes, the names could be longer. but while you can't do "Firecrotch," you certainly can do "Dog Farts."

The news notification above is always obscuring my pressing on red icons...the map should be below and not obscured by news!!!!!!!!
A frequent problem is that you kill people too fast and don't actually win the game- i.e. people die before they can pass on the infection to other people. The game ends when there are no infected people left. Are you getting a blue 'defeat' screen or a red 'victory' screen? Does anyone know the significance of the transparent overlay graphics on most of the symptom evolutions and some of the transmission evolutions? I have noticed the following graphics, but haven't been able to discern whether they are representative of anything: Xs Question marks Exclamation points A circle Bubbles Small and Large cracks Possibly representative of which disease trait is affected and/or magnitude of effect? Also, on the Cure tab of the World menu there are numbers next to research vials (Both red and blue vials). Any ideas on what this represents?
I don't this the news ticker obscures clicking on bubbles. I click them through it all the time. Just try it. It could be improved on for visibility, but it is functional.
I am having a lot of fun with this game. I am playing both Pandemic and Plague Inc. at the same time and am enjoying Plague Inc. a lot more. I like the slowly trickling red dots over regions as they get more infected. I like the upgrade screens better, and that there are more individual countries like Germany and Italy and not just regions like Eastern Europe. Good game. Looking forward to where you go with it _

I still don't get it, what is winning in bacteria? One time I started with increasing my transmittion and resistance to max till most of map is red then I increased my symptoms which was nothing to max I got alooot of kills then I spreaded before increasing symptoms every where.. Suddenly the game ends and virus is still unlocked Another time I increased the severity greatly then I increased the spread along with resistance, I had looooots of deaths and suddenly the game ends and virus not unlocked One time I only noticed they defeat ...
Winning is killing every last person alive. don't confuse that with 100% infection. Make sure you get the message. There are no healthy humans remaining.
