So I was trying to ge this CDC-Bat rabies pop-up but I got another complitely different, it was saying : "CDC : Ricin à éviter - pas d'antidote possible" Wich can be translate in " CDC : Castor (not sure of the translation) forbidden - no cure available" Ricin/Castor is a toxic plant, but also a Latin word for some insects parasits. Here is what I did before the pop-up : Started in Russia At the very beginning I got Zoonotics Next I got Bat 1 There was ~40.000 infected Turkey infected POP UP HERE Then I decided to get Insects And I have not news anymore, my game is actually paused. Maybe it's nothing but I thought it may help us. EDIT : Forgot to say : Ricin/Castor cause Diarrhea and eventually death.
I've seen the ricin message....it's in white so don't think it's important...it's probably refering to the ricin messages that have been recently sent to the president, bloomberg, and some senators. It rarely shows after a couple thousands infected... It would be interesting seeing it after 100% infection but even if that would work we would have to wait forever in order to get the whole world infected cause there's no way we can risk evolving any transmissions or abilities..
Well this rabies message is obviously a clue/hint/breadcrumb to NAZG we just have to figure it out. Generally yellow messages mean we have to do something, evolving rabies symptoms is obvious, but then how does James's post on facebook about nearly doing NAZG except for a doctor in Greenland fit in. I'm thinking peer pressure here. We evolve something to give severity one and hope we figure out the rest before the peer pressure sequence kicks in.
I still firmly believe that his message about the annoying doctor is a better clue yet. What messages are there about doctors? Except for the one who is every player's nightmare:"A doctor in Country has found a new disease..." How do you avoid that? Making sure there are no symptoms that could trigger the discovery pf the new disease.. This won't be easy cause whatever you evolve concerns them. And they start locking down their countries.
Maybe there's a lower chance of being noticed if you only evolve XX lethal symptom? I think we've tried just about every combo and I don't think you can go lethal without being noticed but maybe if they think it's rabies instead of a new disease you can kill without being discovered? So get the bat message early, infect the whole world, and then.....? Just Bat 2? And then it's a roll of the dice? And when James said the doctor in Greenland found him it was too early for him to finish everyone off?
If you evolve only bat 2 after 100% infection they will still classify it as a disease and start researching for a cure. Even devolving zoontic shift and bat 1 won't help. I'll try it cause when i've gave it a try i didn't had the rabid bat message.
Thinking about it wrong? The way I'm seeing it, maybe the new mechanic that was being talked about is a much more rapid chain of evolving than with the origin events. With those, you had the luxury of being able to kick back and wait for messages to pop up because you were going for reanimation at the end anyway. Here, if you wait long enough to get a message or everybody infected, something is going to mutate and you will get noticed. I've been waiting to see if any other messages would pop up after the evacuation yellow banner, but then something mutates and the world shits it's collective pants and there's nothing in the feed but contry actions. I'm gonna try to hunt down the next message with only low transmitions and abilities. Maybe drug one with maybe drug two, because rabies is so hard to kill? Also, is anybody else getting the zombie freeway popup? I get it nearly every game, and I'm curious to know else who gets the reference.
28 attempts later I'm still working on the rabies/rage virus possibility, basically I get the rabid bat notice, wait 28 days (get it?) then try different symptom/drug/transmitions combos, also I always start in uk, like the film, so far nothing, hopefully it won't be long til one of us stumble upon the next 'step' and I think it will suddenly make sense! Lets hope! Anyone else trying this 28 days thing? Also, anyone had any luck with the new achievements?
I believe the CDC achievement doesen't involve Necroa The PfiGlax... No clue about it except that it could be related to Pfi Glasgow
According to Wikipedia both are UK, though they have offices throughout the world. The only recent(ish) combined effort is ViiV healthcare on an Aids/HIV drug. The first human with SIV was in central Africa, HIV1 and HIV2 start in west Africa.
So I tried a game where I got the bat message, then devolved everything, got an early symptom, devolved it, then got Drug 1, Gene Hard, and Reshuffle 1/2. No symptom mutations from then on out, not a single one. By the time there were no healthy people left I had 126 DNA.
Hmm i might be wrong Now we have to figure out how to unleash it.. I'm thinking that the only transmissions which don't belong to any achievement so far are water 1&2 and urogenital expansion
Hmmmmm, haven't got the bat message for last 30 games or so, haven't changed my strategy, zoo+bat+drug straight away, then wait, am I missing something? Grrrrrr!
