Casual.. What i did was this.. Started in Sweden and did nothing.. Do not evolve any symptom,any transmission or ability.. Use the gene which gives you more dna per orange bubble. You'll get dna in no time and if a symptom evolves which to me occured after 8 years just devolve it and evolve drug 1,GH and GR 1&2.. You should have more than enough dna left. Save the game and try different approaches. Hope this helps

Speaking of rabies, I came very close to getting bitten by a rabid stray dog abroad on my holidays. This is going back a few years. I was on a cycle at the time, so I out-paced it luckily.
And how do you reproduce the rabbies symptoms in necroa? Fever-We have it.. Insomnia-same... Delirium-Checked!... Acute enchephalites occurs only in animals as far as i know. Drooling? Hypersalivation.. But what about the rest of the rabbies symptoms? How are we supposed to get them?

According to wiki, to fake rabies we ll need zoonotic shift+bat1+bat2, hypersalivation, polyphagia, insomnia, fever, photophobia(to avoid that new diagnosis with microscopics and light?), delirium, psychosis, Acute Enc, Coma, Autophagia (to destroy our skin so they cant diagnose the virus). Most countries should be suitable to start at. Now my guess is we need to infect most/all of the world before we get noticed, at least until we can pause+mutate the above symptoms.
also according to wiki, insects, rodents and birds are a no-no to carry the virus, ranging from infected-only-on-labs (birds) to no mention (insects). Also very low possibility for human contagion, so i wouldnt pick cannibalism.
I tried that a few times but not sure if you have to start the Chernobyl achievements first or not, I'm thinking if there is a film about rabies, or anything on news about rabies and specific countries, I hear there's lots of rabid dogs in Mexico... Loved the news reel about the machine gun powered jet pack by the way! Ha!
Just a thought, there is a medical term for the symptoms of rabies- hydrophobia. Literally a fear of water, anyone think of anything relevant to the game that causes dehydration? Fever, dioreah perhaps but it's not a symptom on necroa???
Hydrophobia occurs because those infected are afraid because they can't swallow and can't breathe correctly.. The only phobia in the game is the one with the light.. Forgot the name
it's not exactly hydrophobia. the patients can't swallow due to pain, and they become agitated at water. however people developed a vaccine by drying the virus for some days i think, so that could be something. i just finished a game with 3.15b dead using my above method, only bad thing was that i wasnt fast enough at pausing before my disease gets noticed. Way faster break downs though this time. pretty sure i need to devolve zoonotic shift+bat 1 asap to avoid research and CR though
Also rabbies causes abnormal behaviour and psychosis defines it as extreme bursts of violence.. So maybe that's a clue too.. Also.. Does anyone have a list with the news? James said there's a hint somewere but each time i play the news stop after 1 year or so and unless the disease gets discovered i won't see anything new
photophobia. IMO we need it to avoid the latest way to diagnose rabies, which requires the use of a microsope and light directly to the eye of the patient. makes some sort of sense
In view of all this I'm thinking we need to focus on cause of rabies, country of origin, transmitions etc, and how to protect it from cure, gen hard, drug+cold etc? Maybe a pop up with specific symptoms pops up (like a combo achievement)?
I remember James saying it's randomish.. So it could be anything. But when he posted on facebook as well as here "Failed to get the NAZG achievement because of a doctor in Greenland" everyone thought it's country related but i'm pretty sure the message was this:"Don't get caught" at least not until everyone is infected...
